Breastfeeding

It has been 2 weeks and I’m still not producing enough milk to satisfy my baby’s hunger. I am supplementing with formula. Each session takes a long time as I’m nursing and supplementing. On top of that have to pump too. Do I still have potential to increase my milk supply?

My daughter’s pediatrician recommended fenugreek to me to up my supply. It’s a pill you take 3 times a day. I got it at Whole Foods.

I was in the same boat and my milk came in a little stronger around 3 weeks. You're definitely not too late for things to change.

Unfortunately I only produced enough for about 2 ozs a feed and have had to start supplementing again around 5 weeks. I'm exclusively pumping now so that I can make sure he's getting enough between breast milk and formula. I'm currently pumping tons through the day and trying to power pump as well as drinking mothers milk tea, eating lots of oatmeal cookies, and just starting Legendairy Milk Liquid Gold supplements to see if I can get my supply back up.

Maybe your baby is just cluster feeding. Not to say your body isn’t producing enough. Have you tried more frequent feedings? The more you feed the more your body will know what your baby needs . Also every pump session and or feeding won’t be the same one Breast I can pump 5 oz the other only 2 . Or sometime I can get a lot from both. If I’m breastfeeding and I feel like he is still showing he wants more just offer the other to see how he / she does . Maybe check with a lactation consultant as well . Personally I don’t think any of those milk products even work. If you are eating enough and taking care of your body it is designed to supply for you and your baby’s needs . It’s still early so the supply can definitely increase ♥️

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

Signs of Neurodivergent Toddler

Any moms of neurodivergent toddlers who could help me out? My son is 13 months old. I know that is technically too early for a diagnosis, but I have a gut feeling that he is on the autism spectrum.

The main sign he shows is hand leading. He does not point at all, and instead will take my hand and lead me anywhere he wants to go,
getting very frustrated if I do not follow.

He is also extremely sensitive to being touched, especially when it comes to hats and putting clothes on. He won’t let anything touch his head or face and I have to fight him to brush his teeth, comb his hair, etc.

He’s very interested in things that aren’t toys and will repeat the same behavior over and over. He can go in and out of doors or walk up and down stairs for hours. He loves taking things out of containers and putting the back in repeatedly.

We recently took him on his first vacation and he REALLY struggled with the change. He struggles with any type of transition or change in routine.

He laughs, makes eye contact, mostly responds to his name, but doesn’t do any other gestures.

Normal toddler behavior or signs of ASD? Let me know your thoughts!

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(
