Sleeping through feeds

Anyone else’s baby sleeping way to long at night and refusing to wake up to eat?

He demands to eat every hr during the day but at night I’m doing just about anything I can to wake him up enough to get him to latch on ( we’re EBF ) last night he went sick hrs without waking up and I still had to force him awake to eat and he didn’t eat very long. He’s only 13 days old I know they should be eating every 2-3 hrs.

I'm not breastfeeding, so I'm not sure. But I say sleep is more important. Does he wake up during the day to eat? Babies know when they are hungry and they'll scream for it. Maybe talk to your pedetrician?

After my baby passed birth weight, doctor told us no need to wake her for feeds anymore. Sleep is important for their growth and development too, and usually baby will make up for it in other ways, such as cluster feedings before bed or in the mornings (or both like mine does 😂). They also will be awake a lot more during the day. Definitely talk to your pediatrician and see what they think, but if your baby has gotten past their original birth weight, is gaining weight well, and has good diaper output they’ll probably tell you to go ahead and let the baby sleep. At least that was my experience

Yeah I had to start waking her up to eat. Sometimes now she’ll get up herself but I set alarms just in case she over sleeps

yes he eats every 1-2 hrs during the day but my lactation consult told me to never let him go past that 3 hrs mark without eating, I’ll talk to his Dr on Monday

he’s not past birth weight yet but almost there! He was 7 10 at birth and dropped down to 7 1 but now he’s back at 7 8
We go get re weighed again on Monday!

And he pees constantly probably 8-10 wet diapers a day but he does have some pooping problems. I was told by lactation consult he needs to have 3 poopy diapers every 24 hrs but he will go a day or 2 without really pooping and then on day 3 he’ll have anywhere from 2-5 poopy diapers.

I usually do set alarms but I fell asleep last night before I could! Just happen to wake up and check the time and realized it had been 6 hrs since he ate and he was still sound asleep

I just had this happened last night with my girl too, she’s 12 days old. She fed at like 8pm and I woke at like 1:30 to check on her since she hadn’t woke and barely fed then kept sleeping until 4:30 and then she fed some more before going back to sleep. We’re EBF too, definitely threw me off with the “schedule” we’ve been but I know in a week or so it all change as there’s a big growth spurt and she would be cluster feeding, then it comes the leap and other stuff… I won’t make a “schedule” for her until about 3 months, learned that with my first.

My baby sleeps 4-5 hours if I let him go. My boobs hurt a bit but I have an oversupply, I think. He’s up to his birth weight and hungry and feeds well, so if your baby is doing that and past birth weight then I say let them sleep 🤷🏼‍♀️

When waking him up my little one it helps me to change her diaper and use a cool wipe, this seems to do the trick to wake her if she’s really slumbering

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

Signs of Neurodivergent Toddler

Any moms of neurodivergent toddlers who could help me out? My son is 13 months old. I know that is technically too early for a diagnosis, but I have a gut feeling that he is on the autism spectrum.

The main sign he shows is hand leading. He does not point at all, and instead will take my hand and lead me anywhere he wants to go,
getting very frustrated if I do not follow.

He is also extremely sensitive to being touched, especially when it comes to hats and putting clothes on. He won’t let anything touch his head or face and I have to fight him to brush his teeth, comb his hair, etc.

He’s very interested in things that aren’t toys and will repeat the same behavior over and over. He can go in and out of doors or walk up and down stairs for hours. He loves taking things out of containers and putting the back in repeatedly.

We recently took him on his first vacation and he REALLY struggled with the change. He struggles with any type of transition or change in routine.

He laughs, makes eye contact, mostly responds to his name, but doesn’t do any other gestures.

Normal toddler behavior or signs of ASD? Let me know your thoughts!

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(
