This past January my son was past due, and measuring bigger than I was comfortable with. But I was so over it and wanted him to be born already, regardless. So I tried everything to go into labor. Nothing. So right before 41 weeks I went to my midwife and had a NST. They were concerned about my son, and the fact I had no signs of delivery. So I was admitted to the hospital to be induced. After 2 days and no progression. No noticeable contractions or pain. They came to me at exactly 41 weeks and said my son was loosing oxygen and hos heart rate dropped with my contractions (again didn't feel them) They wanted to wait another day, I said oh no you don't! With that info he needs to come out not now, but RIGHT NOW. So after a "painful shot" (again didn't feel anything) I was numbed and prepared for surgery. They claimed I would feel pressure when he came out. Well, no I didn't. But non the less there he was, my beautiful baby boy! That was not the plan, I wanted a natural water birth. But I had to make a decision quickly to save my son. I now have a new found respect for c-section mama's. Your not all "lazy" some of us had no other option! And you are a wonderful mother for making a tough choice!

How was your c section hun, and congratulations x

“Your not all lazy” was funny wording it’s defo not the lazy option also takes months of healing before doing any normal healing ❤️🩹 glad your little one was good in the end and your experience was good but everyone’s experiences are completely different mumma let’s remember that always x

Congratulations!!! It's a hard choice to do a c-section, especially an emergency one. But sometimes that's the only option like you said, my baby girl had too big of a head to fit through the birth canal. She was stuck at my left hip. Her heart rate was dropping after a contraction, the worst type they say... I didn't feel the first shot either.... felt the pictoson contractions before that so bad!

I'm confused, did someone say you took the lazy option?

That’s a harsh statement to make. Even prior to my C-section I never viewed C-section moms as lazy.
Anyways, Congratulations! I’m glad everything went well. :)

I had two planned csections due to the size of my babies and not wanting anything to go wrong. I don’t regret my decision at all and I don’t miss out on natural birth. But my second C-section was terrible. The anesthesiologist only numbed me right above my hips (she numbed me so much lower than my first) and it was not a fun experience. However. I have two healthy and happy baby boys.
