He’s outgrowing his next to me very quickly, but I just don’t feel ready to put him in his room? Is that bad? More for the fact, that he can wake up 5/6 sometimes, and it’s just easier to put his dummy back in or my hand on his chest rather than having to get up every time 🙈 I’m thinking do I just do it as it’s not fair on him? Or do prolonging it? Or do I just get a travel cot for few weeks?

Why do you think it wouldn't be fair to him? I can't imagine there's a baby out there that wouldn't rather be close to their mum instead of put in another room. And it sounds like he'd be sleeping better with you as you can soothe him faster. Do what feels right for you :)

I’m going to build the cot in my room so I can keep the baby close. I agree that I’m not ready. Also, this is my second child and I remember what a pain it was to keep having to go in to the baby’s room multiple times a night when you transition them so just easier to keep them close. In the UK they recommend sleeping in the same room as baby until 6 months but I believe they say 12 months in the US so that always makes me feel better about keeping them in with me!

My baby grew out of the next to me, however he didn’t seem ready to me to be in another room, hence we simply put a cot in our room
