Does anyone have any advice on how to handle a little one that bangs their head when frustrated or angry? It’s gotten so bad with my son recently that’s it’s starting to worry me. If he doesn’t get what he wants or if we tell him no he’ll start banging his head on the floor or the wall. He does it hard enough to cause bruising sometimes. He has now started doing it on the side of the cot when he wakes in the night too. I think he knows that by doing it we’ll react quicker or something. Everything I’ve read online says that you shouldn’t acknowledge the behaviour but I can’t do that because he might end up really hurting himself! Any ideas on how to navigate this would be greatly appreciated.

We just passed this stage.... we had some nasty bruises 😕 someone suggested telling things like don't hurt my baby, I love my baby and it worked for us 😊 Apparently my brother used to do it and my mum used to rush to him and put cushion before he harmed himself 😅
