Super strong baby

This is Amelia she is almost 6 months and she can stand on her feet ,flat and she started doing this at 3 months it's just crazy, her attention span is in unusally long I did explain this to a doctor when she had a check up she is well focused for her age she could sit and stare at someone for more than an hour and not be phased she loves it ,it's generally quite fasanating but I generally think she's gifted ,and shes awake for more than 5 hours at a time during the day ...she started to get really strong to the point she left bruises on my chest from kicking me so hard It was funny but now I think it's a habit 🤣

Have her evaluated by a PT & OT for hypertonia. Sounds like she has muscle tone issues…. Being extremely advanced in development is just as bad as being delayed.. there’s something abnormal going on with the body to cause that… definitely a red flag if she’s super ahead of milestones like you’re saying.

Ours stands too and has the biggest proud smile, it's so adorable! She started pulling to sit at 8w and pulling to stand at 3m, I've never seen it before 🤯
Do you think she will end up walking early?
Btw hypertonia shows as a stiff baby, ours had some tension post birth (like pretty much every baby), but it's all gone now

all of the things you described are usually with kids who are delayed - kids do develop at different rates - let her be a proud mummy ! Trust me , mums know when there is something wrong with their kids. Holly - Well done to your little girl ! :) don’t let other people to dime your light ;)

Ours is exactly the same. My little one can stay awake / focused on something for hours. She’s been standing since 3 months (with our support), is really strong when pushing/ kicking against you. She’s been sat up for a while now but can now pull herself into sitting position and she’s trying to crawl! They warned us about these post pandemic babies 🤣

no it's okay it's not that ,it's been ruled out for hypertonia has muscle and bone issues run on my partners side we did get all the checked out she's absolutely fine it's just crazy how strong she is thats all ,my mum has 5 kids and when I had my baby she noticed that she is an advanced baby but she doesn't have those issues I think I'd notice if there was something wrong as I'm extremely aware and attached to her šŸ’•

that's good practice for helping you wish shopping bags later šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

honey my son has dystonia as well as hypertonia. I absolutely know what I am talking about, I’ve lived this. If her child is ā€œfreakishly strongā€ that’s not normal and should be looked at. My son has never been delayed.

Health Visitor Home Visit

Hii, could anyone explain what the health visitor does on their home visit?

Also if anyone had a home birth, what the midwife home risk assessment involves?

I’ve got 3 home visits coming up in the next two weeks (health visitor, midwives and doula) and it’s making me nervous for some reason. I think having 3 just feels like a lot and a bit invasive if that makes sense!

Poop question

Hey mommas I’m a ftm and my babygirl hasn’t pooped in two days she’s formula feed and is 12 weeks old. I can tell she’s uncomfortable and I feel so bad. I’ve been doing belly rubs and bicycle kicks and all the things like that. Also gave her some gas drops and gripe water to relieve the gas but still no poop. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for me. Pic so we don’t get lostšŸ’•

Who else is out there holding a baby thru the night so his noises dont wake up the house?!

I cant believe im still doing this at 15 months old!!!

My 2nd child is not just the noisiest sleeper but they have always been weird with breastfeeding

I think currently he is having some kinda developmental leap and growth spurt, eating and drinking like crazy and in the middle of the night if he wakes up , it takes ages to put back to sleep and he rolls around making sooooo much noise!!!

And i either have a low supply now OR he loves a fast flow and so he just jumps off the boob when it slows and complains loudly or just talks cutely but loudly! and i have to keep swapping boobs OR i have to get up and hold him and feed so gravity helps and the flow is faster and holding him means he eventually sleeps or at-least is feeding properly so is bloody quiet now! So at 1 am or 3am or often 5am onwards im holding n feeding until he wakes up 🄲🄲🄲

Any tips?

Bottles and feeding

Hi my three months tomorrow old went to bed last night with only four bottles he’s having between 6oz to 7oz it differs but I’ve had to wake him up (anxiety). Because I didn’t think four bottles was enough and I’ve been up all night panicking if he wouldn’t wake up. Any advice for this? X

How’s everyone’s babies sleeping?

My little one is 19 weeks, she used to sleep through when we would put her to bed at around 10pm, she would sleep through until 6-7 am.
Now she gets so tired around 8 pm so we moved her bedtime here, but coming with this is 1-2 night feeds and she’ll be wide awake at 6 am, which I know is still amazing but I am currently as sick as a dog so hasn’t been the best for my flu 🤣.
I’m unsure whether this is the regression though as her naps are very scattered throughout the day with the max nap being 30 minutes through contact only.
Does this sound like the regression? When did your little one start sleeping through again if they ever did? Thanks in advance šŸ¤—ā¤ļø
