Hey guys I feel so unorganised I’m 25 weeks pregnant and still not brought one item I’m just so worried I will buy something and jinx it and something will go wrong. But I feel like I’m never going to get what I need.
Any advice on how to know feel bad about buying something.

Might sound silly but me and my fiancé started off with buying small things like outfits, hats/bibs and muslin cloths because my thinking behind it was if something goes wrong then it easier to just hide them things away x

I am exactly the same I have a scan at 32 weeks and was going to wait until then I am 24+5 days today but also feel like maybe 32 weeks might be too late to wait. My fiancés family is buying us a car seat and they won’t buy it us yet and his dad doesn’t want to jinx it x

Set weekly goals. For next week 5 outfits for the first 6 months, next one hygiene products, next one: sheets, blankets, and softs, stuff for mama…. If you are having a baby shower ask some friend to help you. 😘❤️

I haven’t either. Well, that’s a lie, I’ve gotten some clothes but that’s it. I’m 27 weeks today. Everyone is talking about prams etc., - whilst I’m looking, I haven’t bought. Not really due to superstition but I do believe that there’s still time + it’s so easy to get things last minute, even if they’re needed, if you know what I mean. Either in a shop or next day delivery.
I do feel slightly overwhelmed with what’s best, what should we get and so on, maybe that’s my reason for stalling a little. It’s ok to do it at any stage you feel good doing it at!

I’m buying everything I can second hand and so I’m getting the odd thing as and when I see it advertised on marketplace or in charity shops. I have clothes for both genders and will donate it back to charity if we have the other gender. Same if anything were to go wrong. Just think, you’re helping others. Even if you don’t want to go second hand for much maybe it’s a good first step for you to feel okay about it.
Realistically though buying stuff isn’t going to have any impact on whether the pregnancy progresses or not. By 25 weeks your chances of miscarriage now are tiny, less than 1 in 1000. I know it’s hard but try and relax and enjoy this part. There are so many lovely things out there. You can do this 💪

Thankyou for all your lovely comment, I’ve made a Amazon wish list of everything I can think of I’m sure I’ve forgotten something ahah. Think I may start picking bits up here and there. I’m a bit unsure with what to by as being a January baby not sure on weather and also size xxx

I’m pretty much finished. I’m 26 weeks, I made a list, and found myself researching for hours on what I need and what’s good what’s not, felt so overwhelmed. When I was going shopping started getting nappies, packs of baby grows long and short sleeved for newborns and 0-3 months. nappy cream little bits like that, then got the cot and nappy changer from IKEA and just popped it away. kept storing everything in the cupboard then a few weeks ago I got it all out & I had everything pretty much, bath, baby towels. Muslins. TikTok really helped with the check list. Now the nursery is complete I can just add little bits here & there. xx
