Does anyone have a similar experience where your baby prefers one breast over the other? My 3 month does, and though he will also take from the other side, sometimes it is a struggle. I'm not sure if it's the way I hold him (he prefers the right side and I am right handed so maybe I unconsciously hold him a more comfortable way for the right?) Anyway, since last night, he has refused to take the left breast. Every time I try, he just turns his head the other way and actively pushes away. One breast alone is not enough to sustain him and he won't take the bottle. Any ideas, I'm at a total loss and close to melt down :(

my baby prefers my left side. I think my left side is just the better one, I always got more milk from the left when I was pumping.
I've actually started to do dangle feeding at home when my baby turns their head away etc and I know they're hungry. I think it's the gravity that helps with my flow of milk and my LO seems to enjoy my right side now.
Obviously I can't dangle feed in public but it seems to help things at home!

Yes, my baby would refuse from my right so I stopped trying. I now have Uneven breasts. He does now take from the right but I think the damage is already done. I now always offer him the left one first

When my son was first born he would only take the right and would fight me on the left. A few weeks after we got home he had a preference for the left and I figured out why.. the flow was faster on the left boob than the right and the right was slower and he didn’t have time for that.. I found out because he would always choke on the left but regardless wanted to drink through the choking🤦🏽♀️ now he has no preference as the flow has slowed and equalised for both but he will occasionally fuss more on certain sides but it never lasts.
It’s usually down to flow and let down that makes them like this
