I have one nipple with cuts from my lo who has been recently biting on them. I don't understand how I should be continuing to breastfeed and let the nipple heal??? I cab feel the cuts stretching out each time he is latching on. Which means that everytime he is feeding, the cut is not closing up and healing. But the advice I'm reading online says to continue to feed as normal? I'm putting on breatmilk and lanolin but it's been over a week and I'm still at the same point. My LB is 3 months. I don't want to feed on one side in case it messes up my milk supply but....should I??
I don't know what to do

Apparently silver shields are amazing for helping you heal or you could try feeding with nipple guards on
@Maxine
I've been using silver shields since day one and my LB doesn't like the feeling of the nipple guards when I use them 🙃 😪🥲

I was in the same position a couple months ago! I’ve heard amazing things about silver shields however they didn’t work for me! The only thing that worked for me was to feed off the side that wasn’t so sore, and pump/express out of the other side which I then put in the fridge or freezer to maintain my supply! I now use nipple shields for a day or so if they start to become sore again to prevent cracking and bleeding x

Express until it's a little less sore is my only advice, hope you feel better soon mumma!

I would call your health visitor x
