My baby is crying every time I put her in her cot, even after a feed. She has just transitioned to her big cot. She sleeps a long stretch to begin with then just cries unless she’s next to me. Even if she sleeps next to me in bed she wakes up crying every hour and demands boob. Anyone else? I have spoken to a sleep consultant and plan to start some gentle sleep training but I really didn’t want to have to do that…

My boy is the same. Doesn't really need a bottle much at night but he still wakes up and is just restless and keeps grunting and rolling. Sleeps fine from 8-11pm then as soon as we get in bed he is all restless. Nothing we do helps him. Sometimes rocking him helps for a few mins but as soon as we put him down, it's the same. We just let him tire out and then he goes about to sleep again. But it can take up an hour sometimes.

I think its separation anxiety starting at this age along with developmental stuff. It will settle down but thats no comfort right now i know. Check out secondstartotheright on Instagram she has a blog on this age range and why they may need us more at night temporarily. It's so tough though and no one should judge you for sleep training if that's what you need to do x
