Anyone transitioned from swaddle bag and got any tips?? How long did it take?
Left arm out seems to be ok but the right arm is causing havoc 😂
I keep putting it back in when she wakes as we are still in sleep regression territory so it’s a lot together!

It took ours a couple weeks I’d say, we used a blanket as well to give him extra security, pretty tightly wrapped. We had a lot of face scratching in the first few weeks which was horrible and now he wakes himself profusely rubbing his eyes in the middle of the night! I miss the swaddle 🤣🤣

We transitioned out, what seemed to be the same day that the regression kicked in and the same week as his jabs 🫠
Took both arms out after 3 nights and it took a little over a week to settle. Although his arms still flail around like crazy when he’s getting aggy!
She’s just woken up after only an hour but I’ve kept them both out this time so will see! Part of me wishes I’d never used the swaddle bag but I know it really helped her sleep!

How did you start the transition?? My little girl is 4.5
Months and in a love to dream swaddle so arms up - I have the arms that can zip off but I don’t know when and how to start doing it! I think if I try in the night she’ll wake 😂
I put her to bed at the start of the night with one arm out and the other in for a couple of nights then brought the other out. We are just having trouble with both out!

We started with one in one out but he constantly rubs his eyes and face which knocks the dummy out which then wakes him up 😩 so I find myself keep tucking the arm back it🙃

we zipped one arm off for naps to start - he was doing 4/5 naps a day then, so had plenty of practice before bedtime. It wasn’t a great week of sleep but over a month later now and that’s all forgotten. Power through 💪🏼🤪
wheh you say not great sleep, what did that look like and what did you do? Last night was terrible!
I kept both arms out when she woke the first time but she was then awake for nearly 3hrs!! I had to put them both back in to get her to sleep 😵💫

Well it was at the same time the regression hit, so don’t know if it was an arm thing or regression thing.
He was waking every 2 hours, could only be held to fall asleep and then wouldn’t go back in cot so had to be held for hours. But I think that was more the regression.
With the arms being free - I think he still had the startle reflex, so after he’d fallen asleep, he would startle himself awake. So I had to wait with my hands hovering over his arms for a few minutes to stop them flying up.
that’s exactly it, I don’t know how much of this is the transition, still sleep regression or just developmental stuff waking her! Urgh it’s a lot.

Persevere with arms out, as I think she’ll adjust to that over a week or so if her startle reflex has gone.
Then if sleep is still bad, it’s probably down to development 🫠
My first slept a lot better in general but I remember once she hit 6 months all her naps magically lengthened and night sleep was great, so I’m hoping when we reach the 6 month mark, then sleep will improve for everyone 🤞🏼😂🤞🏼
thank you xx
I think I’m finding it hard because she actually slept pretty well before the regression and now this so it’s all come at once and worry that I’m creating some bad habits!
Fingers crossed 6mnths is kind to us all! 🤞🏼
