Struggles

Did anyone else find out they were pregnant and werent expecting it.... now a few months with baby (Who I obviously love with my whole heart) but when you have bad days feel like you werent ready for baby? (or even if you planned it all to the T)

Do you have days where you struggle and grieve for your past life?

*I know its just 1 bad day, its just been such a long hard day! Just want to make sure Im not being dramatic.

We planned our baby but some days I think - shit, this is literally forever now.... It's ok to grieve your old life but try to think of all of the new things and first's you can do as a family. X

Planned baby - still have that days. I think it’s normal and good to talk about it 😊

Yes me I didn’t plan to have my daughter and I’m a single mum. I’ve grieved and mourned my old life so much and been depressed. However I’ve done counselling and also going to baby classes, be around my family etc. you’re not being dramatic it’s a huge life change and it’s take adjusting to!

I never planned to have children, so my daughter was a huge surprise which also meant a big move away to a new area. Your feelings are valid and it's important to feel them, but it sounds like you also are focusing on the amazing things about your new life which are different but still special. It's such an adjustment, but I'll be honest I had a day just like you've described today.

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡

Took 9 week old to a family party where there was loud music and she was next to the speaker for most of the time (about 3 hours). She slept through most of it. Do you think she has hearing loss from this?

Freaking out right now :(

Struggling in the 4 month regression

How are people getting out of the 4 month regression? I’ve been looking it up and it says I need to be trying to put him down drowsy but awake but this does not work for my LO. Every time we do this he ends up being wide awake and after almost an hour of trying we have to contact nap/rock to sleep. I want to avoid rocking to sleep because now when he wakes up in the night he needs to be rocked back to sleep which he never used to need.

Nights are constantly broken because we are up 2-3 times to rock him back to sleep. Please give me your tips on how to survive this and how to get out of this!! Constantly feel like I’m failing and doing something wrong

Bedtime

What time are you getting your LOs down for the night now and how are you finding bedtime? We’ve had the sane routine since my daughter was a few weeks old - bath with her older sister and 6.45, followed by a bottle and ideally in bed by 7.30. This worked at first but over the last few weeks she’s been fighting it a lot and, with the exception of a few days last week which were a lot easier, it’s a bit of a battle to get her down and features a lot of screaming and resettling. Not sure if we are putting her down too early or late? Her last nap is usually a cat nap (30-45 mins) and finishes by 6. She’s pretty good at settling herself from a night feed, but seems to be unable to do it at bedtime, even with her dummy.
