I am the main caregiver for our baby. I recently left work and it’s getting too much. I’m with the baby 24/7 he has him for 1 hour a week so I can go to the gym.
He works late till like 3am. Then sleeps till 12 in the after noon.
Sometimes I get really overstimulated, especially when he won’t sleep. Or when he wakes up for hours just after I’m going bed.
I am currently trying to start my business up so I’m doing loads of admin and planning every night when baby goes to sleep.
Then if I get overstimulated and start crying my eyes out and getting a little upset/angry (not at the baby, I usually take it out on my partner by shouting). He turns it all around on me. I know I shouldn’t shout but I have no where to blow my frustration and it turns out that “I am the problem” not my partner for giving me any relief from the baby.
Any advice?

Apart from the 1 hour does your partner give you any other time (presuming he has days off)
no and he doesn’t really take days off work either he’s self employed his day off is Sunday but we have his daughter so he focuses on her

He now has more than one child so needs to split his focus even if it’s taking the 2 out together on a Sunday to get out of your hair for a bit. I think if your able to you ought to sit down and talk about him helping more his own business wouldn’t be where it is if he didn’t do what your trying to do now
