Baby with reflux?

Hi ladies. Does anyone’s baby have reflux? What symptoms did they have? I think my baby has it. She spits up after most meals. Seems to have a lot of saliva and I feel like she gets upset tummy fairly frequently. What can I do to help? I sit her up for 10+ minutes after eating to help her belly settle. But I’m not sure if I can do anything else.

Do you breastfeed or use formula? If you use formula, you might have to get something that’s very sensitive to the tummy. And my baby is 5 weeks old and still spits out her food sometimes, remember babies digestive system is very immature

only breastfeeding. I think I may be over feeding her by accident because she gets fussy and she likes to eat when she gets upset

I’m experiencing the same thing but I’m formula feeding

babies eat for comfort. When I was breastfeeding. I was scared that I was overfeeding her. But breastfeeding is natural milk, so nothing will really happen. So you’re good.

I think my baby has silent reflux. He doesn't spit up but he has the gagging/ throwing up reflex

I had to space feedings out more, I read something about allowing the baby's tummy to empty between feeds. It's been better, no spitting up or extreme fussing. And I burp her atleast 3 times during one feed.

you might have to test different formulas out. My little one had it and wasn’t producing bowel movements so she got moved to the sensitive one and she is so much better now!!

Thank you!!

Same! I have to burp my little one after every ounce and hold her upright for 30 minutes after every feeding. We switched to gentle formula too. And we do warm baths every night as part of her routine (I don’t use soap every night) it helps settle her belly before bed.

Because of the reflux, tummy time is hard, so we do it sitting with my knees bent and her on them or using a yoga ball. There’s some great videos on ways to do exercises with babies with a sensitive tummy.

My baby was diagnosed with acid reflux. She would vomit after meals, not just spit up. It would go all down my shirt soaking both of us. It would also shoot out of her not just dribble down like normal spit up.
When she slept she would arch her back and grunt making "eh" sounds off and on for hours even after a good burping. What's helped us is spending a lit of time to burp her after feedings. Not just stopping after one good burp. Sometimes we can get out a couple more by walking around with her or using different burping hacks i've seen on tick tock.
Also, we never let her sleep flat. We are able to tilt her bassinet so she sleeps at an angle a little propped up. When it gets really bad we hold her up during her nap or let her sleep in the mamaroo or her carseat where she is really propped up.
And yes, the pediatrician told us to hold her straight up for 15 - 20 minutes after each feeding. She said we can use a carrier to do this if we need to get things done.

8 week immunisations

My 8 week old has his first set of injections tomorrow and I’m abit nervous. Does anyone have any advice for after the jabs? I know they get a temp after so have got some calpol to give just before hand. Should I put him to bed in less clothing to make sure he doesn’t get too hot? Any tips from your experience with first set of immunisations? Am I worrying more than I need to? 😅

Signs of Neurodivergent Toddler

Any moms of neurodivergent toddlers who could help me out? My son is 13 months old. I know that is technically too early for a diagnosis, but I have a gut feeling that he is on the autism spectrum.

The main sign he shows is hand leading. He does not point at all, and instead will take my hand and lead me anywhere he wants to go,
getting very frustrated if I do not follow.

He is also extremely sensitive to being touched, especially when it comes to hats and putting clothes on. He won’t let anything touch his head or face and I have to fight him to brush his teeth, comb his hair, etc.

He’s very interested in things that aren’t toys and will repeat the same behavior over and over. He can go in and out of doors or walk up and down stairs for hours. He loves taking things out of containers and putting the back in repeatedly.

We recently took him on his first vacation and he REALLY struggled with the change. He struggles with any type of transition or change in routine.

He laughs, makes eye contact, mostly responds to his name, but doesn’t do any other gestures.

Normal toddler behavior or signs of ASD? Let me know your thoughts!

Of these two, which seems more overall “demanding” to you, overall? Lighthearted poll, not putting anyone down 🫶🏼

As a mum who breastfed for 3 years, I think formula feeding seems 100x harder and more demanding. I give those mamas all the credit because I could not keep up with that faff haha. I truly don’t understand why people say breastfeeding is more effort, other than the fact that no one else can do it. But personally I’d take that over endless bottle prep & cleaning.

11 month old constantly standing in cot

Please tell me someone has some advice for this cause wow it’s trying. My almost 11 month old is fully on the move now and his new favourite thing is repeatedly pulling to stand in his cot. The problem is that he wears a sleep sack (mainly so his legs don’t get stuck between the bars tbh lol) so he’s not stable enough to lower himself down. So earlier he fell backwards and hit is head and now we feel like we can’t just leave him to it. Typically it’s his first full day at nursery tomorrow and my first day back at work IT’S LIKE HE KNOWS!!
Please tell me someone has some tips. Currently we are quietly placing him back on his back every time but he just keeps doing it! 🤣🤡
