Hey we have three cats we adore but not sure how they’re going to react to the baby! Any experience or advice would be amazing!! X

Our cat who is a total softy, very affectionate has mostly ignored our baby 😂 I didn't really expect that to be honest x

Awww thank you guys!! X

We have one cat and when we first brought our son home from hospital we let our cat sniff him in the car seat. After that our cat was always by our sons side, they are the best of friends!

Our cat would occasionally sniff our son as a newborn but that was it she’d stay away 🤣 as he’s got old she will sit near him etc. now he’s on the move she tolerates him quite well. She’ll walk away if he starts grabbing her. She’s only 3 so she’s still young

I don’t have any cats but I know of a friend who has a cat and three kids and the cat totally ignores the kids and only likes adults 😂😂

Ours were terrified initially (they are scared of everything except us) and kept away for the first few days but have dealt with it. They now come back on the bed in the morning even if she's in bed with us (4 weeks today). They sniff at her but havnt shown any other interest. They don't go near her crib. Obviously every cat is different but you know your cats so I'm sure you can predict what they will be like! Just keep a close eye the first few days.

Mine totally ignored my son lol

Our Maine Coon hates the crying and is quite jealous of the attention. She hissed a lot at the baby at the beginning, but never did anything and stayed away. She actually spent days hiding behind the sofa. Make sure your cat has a place to go and hide. We bought her lots of nice food and treats and make sure we play with her once a day despite the business of it all. We're now 3 months in and she's definitely still hissing, but it's only directed at us, but she also comes for cuddles so she's definitely getting better. She also came to sleep with us for the first time last night since baby was born. It might take some time for your cat to adjust.

Mine loves my little man was my car for 6 years and she has chosen him as her new human

I have 5. They completely avoided him in the first 3 ish months. They definitely had to get adjusted but now they’re obsessed with him and are so sweet :) just be sure to keep their nails trimmed :)

Cats will be fine. Mine adjusted well as long as they know when they get to cuddle with me.
