Sleep suit vs sleep bag

I’m looking at love to dream products for my 20mo. We used sleep bag before and I was happy with it. It’s time to move up the size for winter, but I can’t decide what is better: sleep bag seems snugglier and cozier and she still can move her legs freely, but sleep suit is safer if she decides to go somewhere in it. Any advice, experience, please?

I love using the love to dream sleep suits for my son and would definitely recommend them

I’ve just bought an Ergo Pouch sleep onesie for my 19mo so my little one can get out of his floor bed safely. He loves it, sleeps better as he got twisted in sleeping bags. It’s handy for him to stay in the onesie when he comes downstairs too, while the house is still warming up. https://www.ergopouch.co.uk/products/pouches/sleep-onesie Tomee Tippee do a GrowBag free leg version that’s similar and cheaper but I liked his arms and toes being covered (optional).

We got some sleeping bags with legs for our 20months as she kept falling over in the traditional sleeping bag. She loves them

@Jui I’m looking at this one. Is it something you use? https://lovetodream.com/gb-en/all-products-uk/sleep-suit-quilted-cotton-moonlight?v=13676

@Madeleine oh, that looks really nice. Thanks! The one I’m thinking has wider legs, will have to consider that now 😂 Do you put on socks underneath this one?

@Marianna Yes we use this one. My son is very active and is up as soon as he wakes so that’s the main reason I got this. It’s great quality, even after many washes

@Jui thanks! Do you put socks additionally? Yes, their quality is really nice. I love their onesies too. Pricey, but good.

At 20 months I think a blanket is best

@Marianna Nope, no socks needed as feet can be covered with it

@Grace she has it now, but every now and then she gets uncovered and I have to check and go put it back during the night. I have to make sure she is warm as we prefer to keep the room cool for a night sleep.

@Marianna No, you don’t need socks as there is a toe cover that you can choose to fold over the feet or not. They can still walk in it, but once he’s up I roll up the foot cover and pop on his slippers.

@Marianna This is exactly why I got the suit. My little one kicks off the covers and then gets cold. Now I can relax and know he’s always covered.

@Marianna I see, my mom made my son a quilt and it stays on him quite well but I know those aren’t everyone’s preference.
