I’ve seen a few people mention they’ve dropped to 2 naps and was wondering how did you know when it was time to? And what sort of times/wake windows are you guys doing throughout the day? 🙏

I could be wrong, but I don’t think it’s something you do. Babies “drop” naps naturally. By 8-9 months a baby would likely transition from 3 naps to 2. My little one is 6 months old, she has 3 naps during the day. She used to nap 4 times, and dropped one nap when she was about 4 months.

My LG did it by herself - some days she still has 3 naps when she wakes up very early. But she dropped her 3rd nap by basically not wanting it. Sometimes the wake window before bed is 5 hours because the nursery doesn’t push her nap.

Yeah he dropped it naturally at 7 months. Now we do 2.5 hours, then 3 hours then 3.5 hours wake windows

We've just naturally dropped from 3 to 2. She let me know when she was ready as she'd start RESISTING her usual 3rd nap 🫣🫠 she's 7.5 months x

It sort of just happens naturally because her last nap of the evening was only a catnap and meant she was wide awake when it was supposed to be bed time so we dropped it. She now had one morning nap about half 9 or 10am. And another nap in the afternoon about 2 or half 2. I would say both naps are around 1.5 hours each

She is 7 months and we do 3-3.5 wake windows and sometimes it gets pushed to 4 before bed

My little boy dropped it himself too. It just meant an earlier bedtime but he sleeps better overnight with an earlier bed x

Thanks everyone! 🙏
