Anyone’s LO biting their bottom lip lately? My LO is 4 months and for the last week she’s been biting her bottom lip?? She doesn’t normally take a dummy she always spits them back out , but me and my OH has noticed when she bites her bottom lip we give her dummy and she takes it straight away?? Is this also a sign of teething ?

Possibly some teething pain, yes. My little boy does the same

I thought it could possibly be another sign of teething

My son sucks in his bottom lip when he seems in a lot of discomfort due to teething. It's usually followed by a lot of dribble and being quite fussy, it's when I would use his teething gel x

that’s the same as my little girl , can I ask what teething gel you use please ? My little girl is 4 months , so I’m trying to figure out if it’s actually teething and what I can actually use for her , she dribbles loads , has rosy red cheeks , biting her fingers / putting her hands in her mouth all the time & biting her bottom lip x

certainly sounds like teething, my son does exactly the same, his hands are drenched when he's having a good go on them 😅 we use the Ashton and Parsons teething gel it can be used from 3 months and has a wee applicator which is handy, I've heard good things about the Ashton and Parsons teething powder but my son has CMPA so can't use it as it contains dairy. I also recommend the matchstick monkey teether and the Nuby teething dummy, it's not really dummy shaped but has two different types of chewing bits and is easy for baby to hold x

thanks so much! My daughter also has a CMPA! So cannot have the powder either!xx

Omf yes!!! My baby has just turned 4 months and he is always biting his bottom lip!!!!

My boy has been doing this from 12 weeks, he loves his matchstick monkey and won't take a dummy but is obsessed with the dummy-like part of "my friend goo"

My son has been doing the same. I had been checking his gums but couldn’t see anything, but lo and behold, looked again this morning and there is a teeny tooth starting to come through!

Yup! Same here, he does it all the time!! He's also been really cranky and terrible at napping etc. but I think we're going through the 4 month sleep regression.
I've checked for teeth but can't see anything.
Is it worth preemptively giving him something on his gums to help??
