Baby movements with an anterior placenta

Currently 28 weeks pregnant and I feel like baby’s movements have been less over the past couple days. I’ve still felt him move but just not as much…especially when I’m lying down in quiet to specifically focus on feeling him move and it’s been more far and few in between. What have been your experiences?? I know I have an anterior placenta but I was feeling him a lot more before. Any advice is appreciated!

Since the baby is getting bigger it’s also less intense kicks at times and more stretches and rolling will come into play. I got nervous at first as well but a lot of the movements feel lesser in terms of intensity, if that makes any sense. Also have an anterior placenta and I can certainly feel her moving more on my sides than front. If you have any concerns though you can always call the doctor to be sure!

I am 28 weeks and have anterior placenta as well. I think if I didn’t feel him at all during the day I may be concerned but feeling some kicks I know I may just not be in a good position / paying attention. I would say if you don’t feel any movement at all during the day get checked but don’t panic.

Im 30 weeks tomorrow and have had the same thing. I have an anterior placenta too and felt him a lot 21 weeks-27 weeks amd now I feel more stretches/rolls and a lot of kicking mainly around 2pm, but throughout the rest of the day is just a few kicks here and there. My midwife just told me to still count kicks if it worries me and if there are 10 within an hour or two hes doing good

Hey! I have an anterior placenta too and I began to experience the same concern and lack of movement. I mentioned it to my OB and they were supportive and checked on her, with no concerns. Don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself and your baby at your next appointment.
I’ve found that I feel my baby move more when my hands are on my belly than when I’m just kind of mentally focusing on it during a time of day she’d moved a lot and part of me wonders if the placenta placement has something to do with reducing the sensation of her movement for me. Even the other day when her heartbeat was being measured they said she kicked and I honestly didn’t feel it.

I have a posterior placenta and I had a movement slow down at 28 weeks as well. I’ve seen TONS of posts of people worried about a movement slow down at 28 weeks specifically. Idk what happens that particular week, but it seems pretty common. If you’re worried, definitely get checked out because you know your body and your baby best, but I’m guessing baby will pick back up next week.

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Reduced Movements

Has anyone else gone in for monitoring for reduced movements and as soon as you arrive at triage the baby starts moving and the CTG is normal? It makes me feel like I am over reacting.

2nd pregnancy after c section

I’m not planning on getting pregnant anytime soon but in the future possibly. I just wanted to know how is pregnancy after c section like my fear is having to go through another emergency operation or even putting strain on my incision during pregnancy

Baby Movements

Hello, I’m a FTM currently 18W5D pregnant. I’ve been getting this tugging feeling in my stomach after I eat, it’s uncomfortable but not painful. I don’t know whether that’s the baby moving or round ligaments pain.

I’ve also been getting round ligament pain which is either a sharp stabbing pain or a stretching sensation. These happens whether or not I’ve eaten while the tugging feeling is only after I’ve eaten.

So, could the tugging feeling be the baby or something else.

Labour

Think im a bit confused really, i went into traige as was having contractions eveey 3-5mins. Since being here im now having them every 2-3mins which was confirmed with the machine and i think the toco was 90-100 and they feel painful and my lower back is in loads of pain but apparently im only just over 2cm dilated maybe, she has said i can stay here for a bit longer to see if things progress as had a previous quick birth as well but i dont understand why the pains are coming this quick if im only 2cm dilated and feel a bit deflated from it also.

I had a sweep this morning also.
