Anyone else’s 5 month old just moaning constantly?

Mines the same atm. Have to change activity every 10 mins and alternate between toys. What sort of things are you doing with him? I do think mine is caused by being overtired as well though as he's taken to a wake up time of 3.30am and fights every nap. When he eventually goes down for a nap, its only 30 mins long. Its definitely exhausting when they whine all day!

I know how you feel about the wake up time. Every morning without fail, my LO is up at 3.30 and then doesn't settle down for any more sleep until 6am by which time my 5 year old is up!
I wish there was an easier way to amuse them but I'm yet to discover anything other than continuously entertaining them during wake times 🤷🏼‍♀️

When we’re at home he has a jumperoo, play mat with his toys, sit up chair with toys attached. I’ve made some little sensory bags this morning and we’ve done some handprint Christmas cards. He goes to baby groups and we go out everyday to do something even if it’s just for a walk, trip to the library, seeing family, going to the shops. I feel like nothing is good enough though and it’s just relentless moaning it’s making me feel like I’m going crazy! It doesn’t help that there’s not a lot to do with babies where we live!😂 Do you have any ideas I’ve not thought of? Waking up at 3.30 must be so tough! My little boy won’t go down for a nap atm he will only nap on me and if I try and put him down he screams😅 Xx

Exactly the same situation here. She’s whinging constantly. Today she’s fighting her first nap, it’s taken me nearly an hour and 3 false starts to get her to nap (in my bed). I had a ‘I can’t do this’ moment whilst she was grabbing and clawing at my eyeballs and hair screaming and fighting sleep.

Seems like you're doing plenty tbf. These kids ay? So much entertainment and still not happy lol. Might sound daft, but he actually finds watching me wash up quite entertaining. I put him in his high chair while I do that. Theres a playlost of nursery rhymes on spotify so we spend some time singing and i do stupid dancing/actions to the songs which amuses him for a short period 🤣 We have a few books with animals on and we go through those as well. Theb just normal buts like rolling round on floor with him, tickling him, silly faces/noises, blowing rasberries n playing peek a boo. Is he definitely getting enough shut eye? X

@Lizzy the eyeball grabbing, fingers in mouth/up nose is not the one. He genuinely hurt me yesterday and it took allllll my strength to remain calm lol. I feel ya x

I’m with you it’s such a battle everyday! It’s exhausting just thinking about everything you need to get done and how you’re going to do it with little one.😅 my baby will only contact nap otherwise he screams so I have to do all my chores with him awake😭

my baby was doing exactly the same thing, he has only just started napping again after weeks of fighting it just like you said. Hopefully this phase will be over for you soon too. It’s so overwhelming! Xx

We’ve just been through this! Honestly I feel like the whole month 5 was a nightmare for us. My LO is 6 months on Saturday and is only just more himself the last few days. They go through leap 5 (if you follow those via wonder weeks) and it was exhausting!

Can I just jump on here and ask when this passed?! My little boy is moaning ALL DAY everyday! For the past week and a half and it’s relentless. Me and my husband started to wonder if there is something wrong with him because it’s like he constantly is bored or upset.. reassurance needed!
