Anyone else’s babies not sitting up by themselves yet 🥺 He will 8 months on the 21st and he can for very short periods but will then fall to the side.
Although the last couple of days he has actually showed signs of trying to crawl as he keeps arching his back when on his tummy.

My LB can sit up for awhile but only if we put him in that position.

What’s he like when you pull him up by his arms when he’s on his back? Can he keep his head up and going back down? X

I got my baby to sit up by the washing basket trick get a washing basket put a pillow at the back incase he falls but not so it's propping him up and let him hold on to the sides for balance my little girl mastered it in a week with that trick also just popping pillows all around him and letting him fall just keep propping him up x
he can keep his head up yes,he’s had very strong neck/ head control since being newborn. He just prefers being on his tummy x
thank you 🫶🏻definitely going to try this with him tomorrow x

That’s good then! Tummy time will help his muscles get stronger though. If you place your hand around their hips when sitting it should help strengthen their backs.

My 8.5 month old (9 months on the 22nd nov) has only just, in the last few weeks been sitting up unaided xx

Sorry no help with the sitting support, but our boys have the same birthday 🩵
