I’m aiming to build up a supply as I have a few days at work arranged so someone else will be feeding baby. I’m EBF and he’s a greedy boy so I’m not getting much time to pump. I pump every morning for about 20 mins and get out 3 or 4oz, is this normal? My and my partner were out for a meal the other day and he drank 3.5oz of breast milk and then my MIL had to defrost another 4oz pouch and he guzzled the lot! So I’m a bit worried about not providing enough.

That's a really good amount to pump!!
How old is your baby?
Are you pace bottle feeding?
And is he having enough wet and dirty nappies? That's how you know if they're getting enough
Sorry forgot to mention he’s almost 8 weeks. What is pace bottle feeding? He’s having plenty of wet and dirty nappies 😊

2-4 oz is the average, so it sounds like you’re doing really well!
If you want to get more, you could try pumping while he feeds on the opposite side? It can be tricky to balance the pump and the baby, but it takes advantage of the letdown you get while nursing.

I found pumping in the night useful when you know theres going to be a few hours between feeds
