Sleep regression

Someone please tell me they haven’t experienced bad sleep regression! I’ve seen lots of posts about bad nights sleep since we’re all approaching 4 months and I’m absolutely terrified as baby has always been good at sleeping!

Mine has always slept through the night until now 😭 4 months next week and she's just so difficult to settle now.

My baby is 4 months tomorrow and no sleep regression! He’s been sleeping through for ages now, going 12 hours and still naps through day. I’m hoping it stays the same xx

My daughter 19 weeks and although her sleep at night hasn’t changed, her naps are awful now!

mine doesn’t always sleep through , only wakes once sometimes but she’s difficult to settle. Just don’t want to be constantly woken up🙃

@Abby hopefully she won't change up too much 🤞

I think I was spoilt and now I'm struggling because I was used to my sleep hahaha!!

same and he's not even 4 months yet

Ok I am experiencing the same problems (awful naps) and I’ve started doing the following:
A) keeping notes of wake windows in the day. Before 2 and fifteen mins have passed since time she woke up I take her out with the pram to sleep. It always works. I dont interrupt her sleep and only come back once she wakes up
B) I put a muslin over her eyes when she is eating so she eats undistracted. Distracted babies eat less and then can’t sleep long
C) I try to put her to baby for nighttime sleep earlier - sleep brings more sleep

It doesn't happen to all children. My eldest had it every each period and my little one who is 17 months now has never had one except few nights here and there which he was unsettled x

We're 4 months (18 weeks) and no change to sleep. He only ever slept for 30-40 mins for naps anyway and still only waking once in the night. Hoping it stays this way but aware we might just be a bit behind schedule

My boy is 18 weeks & (🤞🏼) no sleep regression yet🤔 had a couple of random nights where he’s been unsettled all night & I thought it might be beginning but it never developed into anything & the next night he’d go back to his normal sleep/wake hours. Daytime naps are always pretty consistent too, I just follow wake windows for him, usually about an hour and a half he’s getting a bit grouchy ready for a nap again & he either naps on me or in his pram in the day. Really hoping we’re lucky & he carries on this way🤞🏼🤞🏼

My little girl is 17 weeks on Friday but 13 weeks corrected. At the moment she’s fighting her day time naps and will do 10/20min cat naps. She sleeps through the night from 9pm-6am (usually stirs around 4am but we just settle her in her crib). So I’m hoping it’s only her daytime naps it’s affecting or it’s all still to come!

My baby’s night time sleep didn’t change (sleeps through) but her naps have got shorter so guessing may be the regression. Xx

I’m literally hoping and praying this doesn’t affect my little girl 😭 she’s been sleeping through the night since she was 8 weeks old we have been soooo lucky, she will turn 4 months next Saturday and I’m literally dreading the thought of a possible regression

Avatar

My baby is about to turn 4 months in a few days. He’s always been soooo good at sleeping during the night. Only wakes up once for a dream feed. But during the day it has been awful for him settling. I have to take him out in the car sometimes as he gets overtired xx

My LO is 19 weeks tomorrow, as far as regression, I can definitely tell something is going on but not bad like I thought. Hes never slept through the night, usually would have a feed around 4ish then sleep through until 8 (bedtime 8:30-9pm). Only thing that’s changed is 1 or sometimes two more times up in the night for a feed but settled straight away once is fed, naps are still really good and is able to settle himself and sleep for around 1.5-2hours x

When did you circumcise your baby?
If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.
opinions about how not necessary it is will not be appropriate for this post. Thank you in advance. 🩵

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

When does it get better?

I was crying on the phone with the perinatal mental health team today and the lovely lady, bless her, kept assuring me that it gets better. I kept telling her I hope so because people have been saying that since having my LO and it just feels like it keeps getting worse. She assured me it gets better....

Crawling

Did anyone’s little one start crawling yet? I feel like we are falling behind but really have no idea. I’m trying to introduce more floor time but it’s been rough because of having hardwood floors and our 80 lb oblivious to life dog. I got us a carpet for the living room and trying to put the dog out more when the weather allows. She sits like a pro and will roll to get the things she needs😅 but no real signs of crawling yet.

Night time routine

Heya, my 3 week old daughter is currently exclusively breastfed and I’m not pumping. Can anyone recommend the best way to share the load with my partner? At the moment I’m doing all the feeds/burbs/settling and my partner is sleeping through which obviously isn’t sustainable, I’m trying to work out the best way to get him involved. Any advice very much appreciated!
