So we were at Walmart yesterday waiti g to get my youngest prescription. When a lady asked me how old my oldest was. I turned and smiled and said hes 3. Then she said hes really small for 3. She was on the phone and i told her yeah he is but the dr isnt worried he gets what he needs. She didnt pay attention. So my son is a little small for a 3 year old. I haven't weighed him lately but around his 3rd bday foe his check up he was about 37 40 lbs. He still fits in 3t 4t cloths. He's an extremely picky eater and despite us trying he just simply won't eat. And when he does it's just a few things he likes. We give him a daily vitamin and usually get him pediasures to help replace what he's missing. The doctors say he's healthy and they aren't worried about malnutrition. Yes it bugs me that he doesn't eat. We offer him lots of foods he just turns them down or throws them on the floor and yes it makes me upset he does that but I don't stop because who knows he may try one day. But what this lady said really bothered me. Not sure why. This is my son my first born. I guess it's brought our this protective part of me and I now want to lady out at this women I will never see again. For real who is she to say these things?

My son is 3 and 32lbs. And people look at him and say he’s solid. Just on the shorter side. People have different body types. Taller, longer limbs. My 9 year old is the opposite of my 3 year old.. He’s barely 55lbs. Some kids are just lanky and slender and that’s okay!
Either way, it’s not okay for strangers to comment on people’s size, ever. Not kids, not adults. Sucks that people don’t know that by now. You’re doing great job, that wasn’t her place.

My daughter nearly 3 looks about a year older😬😬I get those comments (she looks big!!) all the time. She doesn’t eat either very picky eater so I understand. Don’t worry about what people say. You are doing amazing

I’m surprised she thought that was really small. My 3 year old is just 30lbs and wears a 24mo-2T. She’s a real peanut but honestly even her doctors don’t care at all. She’s been in the 8th percentile since she was born and steadily staying there. Some kids are just smaller.
I have a two year old boy that is the same size as her. The only time I get upset is when people are trying to insist that I’m lying that they’re not twins. I literally had a lady ask me if they were twins, I said no and she said, “but they’re the same size”. Like, do you think I forgot giving birth to them at the different times? 🤦♀️

Keep up the great work love
