Pap smear

I had my 6 week check today and I had my very first pap too! I’m not sure if it’s normal to be extremely painful or if I’m still sore from birth but my god that sucked. I was yelling at the nurse telling her how much pain I was in and she didn’t seem like it was a big deal so maybe I’m just dramatic lol but that took that opens you made me in so much pain and burned when she clamped it. It was awful. She also told me I may spot a little but I’m bleeding a lot more than just spotting

the speculum was extremely painful! But I also had 3rd degree tears so that could have been why

The Pap smear for me at my 6 week appt. wasn’t painful, I didn’t even feel it. But, the speculum was sooo painful. I also had a third degree tear so that could be why it hurt so bad. After the appointment it was really sore again and hurt to walk again.

yeah cause the Pap smear itself didn’t hurt me. I barely even felt it but it’s the speculum that I had extreme pain with when she clicked it open and it really hurt.

I had my first Pap smear at my 6 week appointment. It was painful when the speculum was inserted as well as when she “cleaned” the inside because I was bleeding a little bit.

It was no where as painful as dilation checks or the transvaginal ultrasound which both brought me to tears

Royal London Hospital maternity Triage

Has anyone had any experience at the RLH maternity triage (6th floor) and if so, what was your experience like?

On two occassions I have been there regarding concerns with my health during this pregnancy and have had an unpleasent experience from the staff on the front desk, seems to be always one in particular where they have been dismissive with the sort of attitude like "why are you here" "we can't help you with that here" It's made me anxious about having to ever go there again, if need be. 🫤

sex is a struggle

anyone else finding it physically challenging to have penetrative sex atm? i swear no matter the position my bump is in the way. can’t even reach around to put it in 🥲🥲
