Not sure if anyone else is having the same issue but my daughter still sleeps like 💩 at night and she’s 17 months. She goes to be usually at 7:30 but lately she hasn’t been sleeping until 9 and she still wakes 3-4 times. I’m thinking maybe she’s not full and she’s waking up I give her a bottle when she wakes of just normal milk, any suggestions on how to get her to eat more?

I find keeping to a routine really helps. With my son (16mo) I make sure be has 2-3 hours of nap time each day whether that’s in 1 or 2 naps. He is well fed throughout the day, breakfast lunch and dinner plus snacks in between. He has learnt the sign language for “eat” from miss rachel, which has helped if he’s ever cranky I say eat? and he agrees.
I have fruit and veggies chopped up in the fridge, yoghurts and give toast as additional snacks throughout the day.
Bed time is 8pm so around 6-6:30 depending on our schedule that day we start winding down. One last big play activity before bath time gets him really ready for bed.
Then just before bath I now offer him an extra snack of porridge or a warm drink which he almost always wants!
Then we bath, have story time in bed and he goes to sleep.
I find dressing him in warmer pyjamas and having a cooler room helps him sleep better. He also has white noise on.
This routine consistently for the past 3 weeks has got him sleeping 8-6am

Prior to that he was in my bed with me and waking throughout the night to feed. In 3 weeks he’s gone from that to sleeping through in his own room.
Keeping to a consistent (but not strict) routine with sleep and feeds, having full tummy prior to bed after a big play activity to burn that last bout of energy are the 3 best things for a good night sleep I recon 🙂 good luck x

Smoothies, soups and porridge type foods are great in the Sabo bottle also!

Thank you so much! I’ll give this a go and see if it helps :)

This is not strict just keep it roughly consistent between windows
6-7am - natural wake up
water or celery juice & a banana
*Playtime before brekkie*
Between 8/9am - porridge or 2xweetbix with berries
Between 9-11:30 - snack if he asks for it (fruit or a yoghurt pouch)
Between 11:30/12:30 naptime 2-3hours
(If he sleeps less than 2 hours I try for another short nap before 5ish. Particularly if he happens to fall asleep early, say at 10am)
*play time before lunch*
1:30/2:30 lunch
6pm dinner
*play time before bath*
7:30 bath time
8pm - read stories in bed
8:30 asleep
Hope this is helpful đź’•

Oh and a final warm snack or drink after the bath if he wants it
