How are people keeping their babies bedroom warm overnight

We moved LO into her own room just over a week ago. She has been waking up around 4 am and her room is so cold. Her poor little arms are ice cold. I end up bringing her into our bedroom and we co sleep for the last couple of hours. I have the heating on in the evening when she's asleep but we always turn it off when we go to bed. Her room at that point is always around 18°c. Overnight it just drops so much and I have no idea how to keep it warm for her.

I found the nursery gets cold so easily. I have the heating set so if it gos below 18c it comes on to warm his room a little. I'm going ti get the radiator reflectors to help also x

Have you tried the 2.5 tog sleep suits (like baby grows) from Sainsburys! They’re supposed to be really good x

I second the tog sleepsuits. They’re really good. And if the room is a bit warmer you can just put them straight in the suit without anything on underneath xx

We’re having the same issue!
We now put her in a short vest, babygrow & a 2.5 tog sleepsuit and keep the heating on to kick in if it goes below 17 degrees x

My LB is in long sleeved vest, baby grow and a 2.5tog sleeping bag. We’re in a detached property that can get really cold. We don’t have a dryer but have a heated airer (dry budi) and will use this over night with a dehumidifier on which helps with keeping upstairs warm. Also bills down a little being run over night. We also have an electric heater on the landing which we’ve set on a time to come on. Plus leaving the thermostat in our LBs bedroom so the heating kicks on if it’s below 16.5 degrees. I’m dreading our next energy bill but nothing you can do when you’ve got a baby x

When did you circumcise your baby?
If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.
opinions about how not necessary it is will not be appropriate for this post. Thank you in advance. 🩵

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

When does it get better?

I was crying on the phone with the perinatal mental health team today and the lovely lady, bless her, kept assuring me that it gets better. I kept telling her I hope so because people have been saying that since having my LO and it just feels like it keeps getting worse. She assured me it gets better....

Crawling

Did anyone’s little one start crawling yet? I feel like we are falling behind but really have no idea. I’m trying to introduce more floor time but it’s been rough because of having hardwood floors and our 80 lb oblivious to life dog. I got us a carpet for the living room and trying to put the dog out more when the weather allows. She sits like a pro and will roll to get the things she needs😅 but no real signs of crawling yet.

Night time routine

Heya, my 3 week old daughter is currently exclusively breastfed and I’m not pumping. Can anyone recommend the best way to share the load with my partner? At the moment I’m doing all the feeds/burbs/settling and my partner is sleeping through which obviously isn’t sustainable, I’m trying to work out the best way to get him involved. Any advice very much appreciated!
