100% this is my second pregnancy but furthest I’ve gone I am always waiting for the next scan. I have a thick placenta so can only feel slight movements. I’ve realised it’s natural to get anxious about not feeling baby

I feel like I’m waiting ages for my next scan,I don’t seem to have another one for a few months,My last one was Christmas Eve and I’m just soo scared,I’m going to need to contact my midwife and see if she can look into my appointments as it’s knocking me sick not knowing what’s going on

I totally understand, the little beanie is so loved and can feel too good to be true! I take the movements as a great reassurance that we didn't have in the beginning. Also midwife appointments really help as they measure you and check baby heartbeat. So that is super helpful in between scans. We're contemplating a private scan in between the next one. There will be another midwife appointment too. You will have your midwife appointment at 24 weeks. X

I have my glucose test on the 29th of this month then midwife on the 14th of feb then a telephone appointment on the 5th of march so going nearly 3 month without a scan is starting to worry me,I don’t know if I just imagine the movements as I want everything to be ok,I’ve messaged my midwife to see what she recommends as it’s knocking me unwell

If you're worried, you can always go to the MAU to say lack of movements and they will reassure you with scan or dappled check. Also call your midwife and say you're stressed and she can offer the dappled check. That's the great thing about reaching after 20 weeks, you can always get reassurance. Just say you're stressed as you haven't felt movements

It’s a very scary and uncertain time! Your feelings are completely valid and I think a lot of us are in the same boat. I’m 24+5 and have a posterior placenta. And I still am worried even though I can feel her. Speak to your midwife, ask for more frequent appointments. Even if it’s just to come in and have the Doppler. They are there to help xx

My parents helped me pay for a private scan at window to the womb Worthing as I have high anxiety as was not my normal self so I’ve had two of those inbetween scans they are so helpful

Pregnancy anxiety is such a common thing! Try and just remember that that is what it is - anxious thoughts! However if you are concerned (not feeling movements etc) it doesn’t hurt to get checked out. It might be worth referring for CBT or therapy if it’s consistent and causing you distress ♥️ most Iapt services have courses for mums that specifically focuses on having a baby but in mine it’s for new mums not pregnant mums - but other tools for managing anxiety are helpful. I’ve got terrible anxiety currently so do understand, be kind to yourself ♥️

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Reduced Movements

Has anyone else gone in for monitoring for reduced movements and as soon as you arrive at triage the baby starts moving and the CTG is normal? It makes me feel like I am over reacting.

2nd pregnancy after c section

I’m not planning on getting pregnant anytime soon but in the future possibly. I just wanted to know how is pregnancy after c section like my fear is having to go through another emergency operation or even putting strain on my incision during pregnancy

Baby Movements

Hello, I’m a FTM currently 18W5D pregnant. I’ve been getting this tugging feeling in my stomach after I eat, it’s uncomfortable but not painful. I don’t know whether that’s the baby moving or round ligaments pain.

I’ve also been getting round ligament pain which is either a sharp stabbing pain or a stretching sensation. These happens whether or not I’ve eaten while the tugging feeling is only after I’ve eaten.

So, could the tugging feeling be the baby or something else.

Labour

Think im a bit confused really, i went into traige as was having contractions eveey 3-5mins. Since being here im now having them every 2-3mins which was confirmed with the machine and i think the toco was 90-100 and they feel painful and my lower back is in loads of pain but apparently im only just over 2cm dilated maybe, she has said i can stay here for a bit longer to see if things progress as had a previous quick birth as well but i dont understand why the pains are coming this quick if im only 2cm dilated and feel a bit deflated from it also.

I had a sweep this morning also.
