LO is 9 weeks now and still waking up 2-3 times in the night. Tried to follow Gina ford method but no matter how on track we are with routine in the daytime at night he doesn’t want to settle until midnight and only a few times has had a 5.5 hour stretch in the night but no solid night schedule. Any suggestions/thoughts?? Also does anyone else limit their LO’s daytime sleep to make the night stretch longer or feed extra in the day to make night feeds less?

They’re still so new to this world at 9 weeks, it’s normal for them to wake frequently at this age, as hard as that is to deal with. I don’t think sleep training is recommended until 6 months as so much changes during this time. My little boy is 10 weeks and can still often wake up to 5 times during the night, it’s just a season and won’t last forever, keep going ❤️ you’ll look back on this time and realise it was such a small amount of time ❤️

Don’t keep baby up in the day it can make matters worse and leads to more distress for baby. My LO is 7 weeks and still wakes up every 2 hour on the dot… they don’t know any routines yet - 2/3 times is amazing !! Stay strong it’s pretty tough but it should get better when they can get the hang of a routine after 4 months x

I don’t have a set routine for my LO yet. I know the times she’ll roughly wake up during the night but it’s still around 3 times. As the comments above said, our babies are still so young and adjusting to the world, it’s hard but you’ve got this mama❤️. I’ve not tried to follow any methods or routines yet myself only because each day is so different for me at the moment, my LO is almost 7 weeks, so I’m looking forward to when I can actually implement routine xx

My boy is 10 weeks old and we have also followed the contented baby book from day one. 2/3 times per night is still normal at this stage (and follows what she says in the book). My boy goes to bed at 7pm and normally wakes up at 1am and 5am. We don’t do the 11pm feed she suggests as it doesn’t work for us. He’s gifted us two/three nights only waking up once at 3am but it’s really inconsistent. You’ve got this!! xx

My baby is the oppsite, will sleep 7-8 hours a night but just will not nap in the day. I think either way is difficult cos means I’m struggling to get anything done. But I just think they’re so young you can’t sleep train or even follow wake windows really. I just try & follow sleepy ques for example rubbing eyes, yawning and then I’ll try rock her to sleep, sometimes doesn’t work tho xx
