Hi everyone,
We have been struggling with food and constipation for a few months now, other than GPs is there any platform that we can get help and professsional advice on? I would like someone to look into it than just giving us more /different laxatives or say he is teething.
While I was pregnant the midwife are amazing, I missed that.
Thank you for listening. Xx

We’re under a paeds team for the same issue at our local hospital. She has to have a blood test to rule anything else that’s could be sinister. I’m not sure if this is the advice you’re looking for, but we have seen a huge difference when we use chia seeds and blueberries in her diet more often. It tends to clear her out more regularly x

hi! How did you get on to the paeds team? Was it referral from the GP? Everytime we goes to doctors, they will say he looks happy and well and give us a different laxatives. 😔 I need to know what to say.
Oh thanks I will try the chia seeds and blueberries xx

We pushed and pushed to get referred. We reached out teether with them passing us off when she hadn’t pooed for over 20 days, and we were told time and time again it was “normal”.
Definitely keep pushing. Keep a food diary to build up a case also, and as awful as it sounds, sometimes you have to exaggerate bubbas symptoms to be taken half a bit seriously. Were the only advocates they have right now x

How bad is the constipation? We took our little one up A&E after days of no poo and blood in his nappy when he finally went. When we told the consultant everything that was going on and how irregularly he poos, how much pain he is in etc, he kept us in overnight, ordered an emergency x-ray and an outpatient ultrasound. Luckily nothing sinister but we’re due a follow up appointment soon. We’re lucky that Movicol seems to work well for him.

Hi! I just finished my certification in baby nutrition coaching and we have a learned a lot of helpful approaches for constipation. I’m looking to build more expertise before starting my own practice so I would be more than happy to do a complimentary consultation if you are interested. Feel free to DM.
