So my partner always cooks and he’s very good at it. For his birthday next month he’s asked me to cook for him from scratch (he did this for my birthday one year so seems fair!). I’m not a confident cook but want to try my best. Any suggestions for a very tasty starter, main course and/or dessert that I can make him? He will eat anything!

Starter: charcuterie board or a nice caprese salad.
Puff pastry pizza with homemade chips.
Dessert: can do a no bake cheesecake with mix berries sauce.

Starter and dessert I think Rebecca has that nailed down, great easy ideas. My man LOvES lame shanks and they are a slow cooked meal so put it in 3hrs early, leave it to cook and then just do the potato mash and sautéed greens in the last half hr before serving. Or slow cooked ribs- anything slow cooked as it’s more “hands off” and won’t stress you out xx lovingly made but through time 😂xx
Or a roast

The Hairy Bikers do an amazing and quite easy chicken, leek and ham pie recipe and Nigella Lawson’s sticky toffee pudding recipe is also quite easy and absolutely peng!

Definitely it all depends on what he likes most. And if you not confident you want something easy.
