Pregnancy Rhinitis

Honestly so fed up now, I’ve had congestion (blocked nose) for like 4-6 weeks now and was using a nasal spray which gave some relief but for a week now my ear has been popped/basically deaf in one ear, painful too and my goodness when I’m blowing my nose (sorry tmi but) the amount of green mucus is horrendous. Is anyone else experiencing this?

This is my second pregnancy (24 weeks) and I know last time I suffered with a blocked nose (pregnancy rhinitis) for a few weeks but this time is so much worse - I feel so blocked up and just want to be able to hear properly again! 🤦🏻‍♀️ I went to the doctors last week and was just given ear drops which have helped for the pain for short periods. FED UP 😵‍💫 to top it off I have 20 month old who’s full of energy and the mama guilt I’m experiencing is 😞

This must be what I’ve got too. Had a blocked nose for about 6 weeks now. Went to the doctor and he gave me antibiotics but that did nothing.
Nothing is helping at all

Oh god that doesn’t fill me with confidence for my doctor’s appointment tomorrow 😂. Which antibiotics did you get if you don’t mind me asking? It’s the not being able to hear out of one ear that’s doing my tits in 🤡🤦🏻‍♀️

Hey how is yours getting on now? I’ve started getting it really bad this week causing severe headaches that paracetamol isn’t helping. Not fun at all xx

hey, it’s better now.
My ear unpopped after a course of antibiotics and my congestion/mucus went a couple of days after. I’ve been getting the odd stuffy nose during the night but nowhere near as bad as it was and it isn’t affecting my sleep which is a plus. The antibiotics I got were amoxicillin and I had 5 days worth so maybe mention to your midwife/doctor. I’d avoid any nasal sprays though as I’m now wondering if that was making it worse 🤦🏻‍♀️ Hope you get sorted! Xx

Reduced Movements

Has anyone else gone in for monitoring for reduced movements and as soon as you arrive at triage the baby starts moving and the CTG is normal? It makes me feel like I am over reacting.

2nd pregnancy after c section

I’m not planning on getting pregnant anytime soon but in the future possibly. I just wanted to know how is pregnancy after c section like my fear is having to go through another emergency operation or even putting strain on my incision during pregnancy

What time scale did everyone get pregnant again after a c section?
I know the doc said they recommend eating at least a year to 18 months but it took 4 years to get pregnant the first time after being told we could not conceive naturally so not wanting to stop it happening knowing it could take a very long time again but also worried.

Labour

Think im a bit confused really, i went into traige as was having contractions eveey 3-5mins. Since being here im now having them every 2-3mins which was confirmed with the machine and i think the toco was 90-100 and they feel painful and my lower back is in loads of pain but apparently im only just over 2cm dilated maybe, she has said i can stay here for a bit longer to see if things progress as had a previous quick birth as well but i dont understand why the pains are coming this quick if im only 2cm dilated and feel a bit deflated from it also.

I had a sweep this morning also.

What did everyone pack for their section? I'm staying in for 3 days due to mental health, not really sure what I'll need to bring, feeling very nervous. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Newborn stage

Is anyone tired of doing the same thing everyday and being on a 2-3 hour schedule? It’s the same everyday and I feel like I’m losing my mind. It’s making me depressed even if I get out once a day. When does it get better? I feel like I’m just waiting for the next stage where it’s not just sitting around all day.
