Weaning
Anyone else hating weaning? My LO is 8.5 months old and still barely eats anything. I offer 3 meals a day and it literally all just goes on the floor for the dog! Im at a loss as to what to do cos im so worried. I’ve tried spoon feeding purées and mashed too and he’ll have maybe 2 spoonfuls then just closes his mouth. The only thing he’ll eat is porridge and fruit purée. The last few days have been particularly bad and he’s barely even taking finger foods to his mouth, just waving them around and throwing them

My 8.5 month old is the same, she eats but is constantly snotty and has a build up of mucous and finding it difficult to introduce thicker textures I do and it goes well and they it starts again xx
My LO will not eat puree from a spoon but will eat a whole pouch straight from the pouch- it says on the back of most that you shoukdnt let them do it but its the only way he will eat!
Mine is 8 months old and she started to eat more or less okay just recently. I bought her a nibbler and it works wonders! Thanks to it she eats vegetables she used to refuse to eat.
My LO is same
She eats properly one day
Another day she refuses to take spoon or any food
I try giving different recipes/textures
Some day she will eat whole egg
Some days she won’t take a bit
Just trying to be patient as they milk is the main nutrition till babies turn one

This all makes me feel better! I feel like all I see is babies just eating plates full of food 😂
