How long did it take your LO to start taking themselves to the potty? And how many weeks in did they start to have less accidents?

My little boy is 2.5 we started two weeks ago and he takes himself too the potty and knows when he needs a wee/poo and to be honest he doesn’t have any accidents he truly was ready for potty training. Make sure the potty/toilet is accessible for your little one. And lots of praise and encouragement x

We’ve been potty trained for weeks now but we still have the odd accident. Mainly at nursery when she’s too busy playing. It’s very normal from what I’ve read up on.

She refuses to use the potty though so we need to go to the “big” toilet and she’ll take herself or tell us she needs to go x

We been doing it for 8 weeks and still have daily accidents

My boy is a bit all over the place. If he's home with my partner or a grandparent he'll take himself to the potty, which he started doing on day 3. But if he's with me he won't. Although he will often tell me when he needs to go (or rather he comes and tells me "I'm not ready to do a wee yet" 🤣). If he's at nursery he won't tell them at all and needs to be prompted. On average he has one accident a day, normally when he's tired or there's a lot going on. But the other day he had 6 accidents whilst at nursery, so it's really all over the place.

It took my daughter about 3 days to crack the wees (the odd accident every now and then for a couple of weeks but quite rare). But it took her 5 weeks to crack the poos and was pooing on the floor exclusively during that time 😂😅. Were now 3 months in, no accidents at all and she takes herself to the potty or she asks to use the toilet x

Hmm he just started doing that maybe a couple of weeks ago? Tbh nursery helps a lot. They expect him to do that and encourage it. He just randomly started doing it I was shocked! I was taking him every time and then BOOM. He started just going and pulling trousers down. But only like half the time maybe. So a work in progress progress

I think there is two ways ppl say no accidents. If we mean no accidents BUT we are reminding them to go and taking them, then mine has been trained since week 3… but I assume most people mean no accidents when they take themselves and ask themselves to go. I mean if I’m reminding them every half an hour I still see that v much as an ongoing thing

She took to the potty straight away but when we went to wearing pants she had lots of accidents for weeks, sometimes she would tell me and sometime she would just wet herself but she's had no accidents for about 3 months now and takes herself to the toilet with my supervision. We have steps and a seat so she can do it by herself

We did potty training over Xmas and she hasn't had any accidents. She just takes herself to the potty or toilet but I have to help her pull her knickers back up 😂

My friend is over from another country but I don't feel like leaving the house

One of my old friend's is visiting where I currently live and we agreed to meet up today but I feel so tired and exhausted from everything that's been going on with me. I feel if I meet her I'm going to end up having another breakdown from the exhaustion which I have been having often. I'm just thinking about how I need to rest to be able to deal with my toddler and go back to work on Monday without feeling like I need another weekend. I'm torn on what to do so I need you guys to help me decide

Post partum dad

I have a 2 month old. A few weeks ago my husband crashed out because he didn't feel like he was getting to bond with her. I started exclusively breastfeeding around that time and honestly didnt see the big deal. Baby and I left for a few days and when we got back home, everything was fine. He was extremely hands-on. He helped with my meals, her bedtime, bath, stories.....for a few weeks it was great. Then he randomly sounds depressed af. He says our lo is better off without him, he wants to sleep all day , he asks me not to watch tv then tried playing a video game. He refused to reply to me when i asked any follow-up questions. Then he woke up our baby trying to race me to the bathroom first thing in the morning . He's doing a weird mix of crying, trying, and giving up. Im starting to feel like I cant handle him not being able to handle life with baby and just want to be alone. Are there resources for men?

Weaning

Hello mamas, could I get some advice please with how and what to wean as started this week with my baby but not really what to give and when what time day. Have started with puree vegetables and making them myself and offering it in the evening to my baby but she tends to get irritated and tired and has a few spoonfulls and then gives up and has a meltdown. So I’m questioning myself am I feeding her wrong time of day and what’s best to mix the food with milk or baby rice please.

Do I need to pay anything when my child starts school in September

I'm a new mum and obviously didn't grow up in the uk. I currently pay roughly £640 for nursery fees. I'm wondering if my expenses will reduce when my LO starts school or there'll be other expenses (besides bags, uniform etc) will my expenses be anywhere close to £600 monthly?

People telling you your baby is hungry..

I know people don’t always mean it in a bad way and are trying to relate, but when people say my baby is hungry when chewing his hands. I feed him regularly. He eats pretty much every 2 hours. He isn’t hungry, he just loves chewing and exploring his hands. Or they say something about teething, which it is also not, as he isn’t unsettled with it. I have looked into it myself and can be common and neither of those things! He has done it most of the day since 2 months old.
