What makes you think baby isn't getting enough?

Breastfeeding is hard in general. Don’t be discouraged, my baby is almost 3 weeks as well. It’s a lot of work but just keep putting baby on to help tell your body you need to make more milk. I’ve also started drinking coconut water daily and I’ve noticed I’ve been supplementing with formula less these last two days. So I would say coconut water helps me at least.

because when she’s done she’s still hungry .

that’s so good to hear!

Coconut water, oats, liquid IV, BodyArmor, and more calories/hydration!

Body armor and lactation cookies/candy is a life saver for me

i’m always doing that ! just have to increase my calories and eat more . that’s another thing that’s hard having enough time or not time but finding the appetite to eat

Avatar

breastmilk is easily digested and baby is cluster feeding which is completely normal. As long as she is having plenty of wees and poos you know she’s getting enough

Avatar

mines doing the same! But I’ve read it might be a growth spurt!

The mom milk tea helped me

Avatar

i just brought this yesterday . i seen also chamomile tea helps increase too! so ima try that

Avatar

really ? okay that’s good to know i’ll keep putting her on when she gets hungry . because i wanna take the formula completely out of her!

Body armor, eating high protein, oatmeal, staying hydrated and not stressed helps me increase supply. Also I pump after every feed if possible. It’s a supply/demand game. If you pump more your body will make more

Yes bf is hard af. I also had to supplement formula because my girl was 14th percentile and not gaining. Within 3 days she jumped to 25th percentile. My milk isn't doing great, but it's because I'm not disciplined enough to pump after every feed like I should. That's what you need to do if you want to increase your supply

I also offer both breasts and sometimes give her another go at my better boob before giving her the bottle.

Breastfeeding is the hardest thing I've ever done.

Put her on as long as shell stay on and keep switching breasts

When did you circumcise your baby?
If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

When does it get better?

I was crying on the phone with the perinatal mental health team today and the lovely lady, bless her, kept assuring me that it gets better. I kept telling her I hope so because people have been saying that since having my LO and it just feels like it keeps getting worse. She assured me it gets better....

Crawling

Did anyone’s little one start crawling yet? I feel like we are falling behind but really have no idea. I’m trying to introduce more floor time but it’s been rough because of having hardwood floors and our 80 lb oblivious to life dog. I got us a carpet for the living room and trying to put the dog out more when the weather allows. She sits like a pro and will roll to get the things she needs😅 but no real signs of crawling yet.

Night time routine

Heya, my 3 week old daughter is currently exclusively breastfed and I’m not pumping. Can anyone recommend the best way to share the load with my partner? At the moment I’m doing all the feeds/burbs/settling and my partner is sleeping through which obviously isn’t sustainable, I’m trying to work out the best way to get him involved. Any advice very much appreciated!
