Anyone else have sore pelvic muscles or perineum 2 months postpartum after having been checked by obgyn for 6 week checkup and looked fine? I feel like when I bounce my baby around to get her to fall asleep or when I push the grocery cart full of groceries around the store are when I feel the most sore.

My ob said it could take up to 12 weeks to heal and if it doesn’t then I would need pelvic floor therapy.

I would recommend pelvic floor therapy
@Bianca thanks! I remember asking for that after my first just for the sake of being healthy and my doctor back then said there was no need so she wouldn't refer me...smh. the medical system can be so horrible for postpartum women. I will try to ask my current doctor about it.

Yess the same for me. My first doctor told me the pain would go away after like 6 months and it never did

Yes me!! I had a fourth degree tear and I still feel pretty tight down there. The doctor said I was healed at like 5 weeks but I think the muscles are still sore and recovering. I have started core workouts from YouTube and I didn't realize as when all the way down there too. It's annoying but I'm trying to think of it as a sacrifice for my baby.
@Jenna oh man, 4th degree sounds so hard 🥺 I hope you recover soon! I was told mine was 2nd degree. But it was a forceps delivery and I was told there were kinda 3 cuts in one...? Idk if that has something to do with it taking so long. Same. I started doing postpartum pilates every now and then and the days after I feel it sore there.
