Hi everyone.
My daughter is 2.5 years old and she’s extremely whingy and whiny. She has approximately 6-7 tantrums a day, and is always whining for something. She refuses to go to any family members, who she previously loved to go to, like my mother. And she completely avoids other family members like my father and siblings, like she’s very dismissive, rude and extra clingy when they make an effort to interact with her.
I’m currently 28 weeks pregnant with baby number 2, and she’s testing my patience a lot. Nothing seems to work, or calm her down. And I’m unable to get any help from those I usually rely on, as a result of her dismissing everyone.
Has anyone got any tips on how to deal with such tantrums/behaviours?

It's really hard at this age for both them and us and I can imagine it's even harder on u being pregnant bless u.
My boy is really clingy with me when he's going thru stuff and refuses to go to anyone else. To the point even when his dad gives him something he's asked for he says, no mummy give it. Not a fix but better than b4 has been to acknowledge his feelings. I describe what he's going thru so during a tantrum it cud be I know ure upset cos I said u can't have it, it ok to cry and when uve finished crying we can have a hug and talk about why I said u can't have it. Usually makes him cry more and sometimes I have to say it in bits inbetween the screaming. When they're in that state they go thru a mini trauma so cant process what ure saying, they just see red. U have to see it as they don't understand what is happening to them and the feelings they feel so ure there to reassure, explain their feelings and explain how the situation happened. See it as a blackout period they've had and ure explaining it.

Since doing this he seems better. Even when having a tantrum they see less and he listens thru them. The other day I tried to give him a hug when one started and at first he said no mummy but then just hugged me and we just stayed like that until he calmed down. It's took a lot of work and months to get to this but I was at my wits end cos it got so bad.
I hope it works for u if ure able to do it.
