I have 15 week old twins they are generally good babies but they still don’t sleep through the night. They go down about 11pm/12am and wake every 3 hours. When they wake up they will just feed, wind and go straight back to sleep until they get up for the day around 9-10 but they’re only taking 90ml bottles max which I think is the reason why they’re waking up so much. Anyone else had this problem and have any tips on how to get them to eat more and sleep longer through the night?
Also I know I need to bring their bedtime forward which I was working on and got It to 9pm but that got messed up by staying a family’s over the weekend

Are they waking or just between cycles and stirring? I give my daughter an extra 30ml as last feed ( she goes down 9-10) then normally up at 2:30- 3:30 then 7 ish. she sometimes stirs at 1 and 2 but doesn’t wake so I leave her now as used to get her up but she would only take a little milk. Now with 1 feed she takes the whole bottle

My biggest advice is follow your babies lead - I know it’s frustrating - but if you interfere too much, you risk making night wake ups a habit. Babies typically don’t sleep through the night until 6/7 months and even then, they go through teething/illness/developmental leaps etc which wake them anyway. Hopefully as time goes on, the amount they drink throughout the night minimises and they sleep through x

they usually wake up hungry and crying but I’ll bare that in mind and try to leave them if they’re not fussing. That’s a good idea about making the last bottle slightly bigger I’ll try that too. Thank you

thanks hun you’re right and I try to just go with what they want I just feel like everyone else’s babies are sleeping so much better than mine lol.

I completely get that bless you 🥺 my baby has slept through the night on occasion but has also woke 5 times in a night. Babies are so unpredictable it’s tough 😩 x

Babies don’t usually sleep through until much later on. My daughter was 11 months when she slept through and she’ll now do 13 hours 🤷🏻♀️ so many factors go into baby sleep and it’s definitely not linear.
My son is 14 weeks and he’s still up every 3 years and I’m desperate for a longer stretch so I completely sympathise 🤣 xx

It’s completely normal for babies to wake during the night. They’re biologically programmed to. I totally get it’s hard, but it’s normal.

I think you’ll find more people have babies that don’t sleep through than those that do. Don’t get me wrong last night she was up so much and I’m a zombie today 🤣🙈 but I keep telling myself it’s completely normal and one day she won’t, enjoy the night snugs for now x

My LB goes to bed at 8 after a 6oz bottle. I then pick him up even if he is sleeping and feed him around 11 when I go to bed - he was waking at 1am, but I gave him his dummy and after two nights of doing that he stopped waking. Then he was waking at 5am which I let him tell me what he wants, sometimes he will take dummy and go to sleep until 7am, other times he wants a bottle so will feed him and he'll sleep until 8am but I let him dictate 🥰 xx

My little boy used to sleep so well when he was about 5 weeks, went to sleep at 11pm then woke about 5 for a small feed then back to sleep until half 10.. he's 9 weeks now and wakes every bloody two hours 😩.. even last night he woke at half 1 in the morning and didn't go back to sleep until 4.. then up at 6 🥹 I have no idea what's going on but I'm hoping it passes and he goes back to what he use to.. it is very hard though when you hear mums say their babies are sleeping through the night (totally not jealous at all!) x
