My one month old usually gets 2 hours of sleep, sometimes 3 at most before feeding. If your baby slept a little longer, Is that ok or would you wake to feed at the 3 hour mark.

Wake to feed at the 3 hour mark 💞

Depends how old your baby is. My first was born full term and by 2-3 weeks old I didn't wake to feed. I let her let me know when she was ready to eat. Sometimes shed sleep 5-6 hrs and be ready, sometimes 1-3, and sometimes even 7+. She did good with weight once I switched to formula so I wasn't concerned. With my second, she was 6 weeks early, spent 10 days in the NICU. 2 weeks after she got home i stopped waking her and she gained 10 lbs in 2.5 months. She won't sleep longer than 5 hrs at a time though, and usually only sleeps 3.5-4 hrs

I was always told that if your child’s back up to birth weight and they are sleeping through the night don’t wake them up. We sometimes get 7 and a half hours of sleep some days. But last night he woke up at 3:45 and 7 for feeds this morning. His last feed was at 10:30 before bed. My child is 2 months old.

No i feed on demand especially because she reached her birth weight

We wake to feed at the three hour mark. But she is usually already awake. After the feeding and diaper change it takes a total of an hour and a half to get her back to sleep which means only an hour and a half from then till her next care time and only an hour and a half of sleep at a time.
