I’ve seen a few posts around EBF babies that have refused bottles and I’m just wondering if anyone has had any recent success in getting an EBF baby that has previously refused bottles to start taking any!?

Yes! Complete refusal until just recently. Started giving him a tiny bit of expressed milk in the highchair. Then offered in the daytime, not in high chair. Then just gradually increased volume. I’ve now transitioned to formula and he takes 150ml. Will be upping to 180 next. Once he’d got to a higher volume I made it consistently the last feed before bed x

Good luck!!
This is all really encouraging to hear thank you!! Always had complete refusal but it’s been months since trying so thought it was worth giving it a go again with some more commitment to it again! Thanks all!

as you say, I think mixed with weaning he just accepted it as part of the new world of eating. I also pushed on and offered every day, to ensure consistency x

Yes! My little one refused a bottle up until a month or so ago when we switched the MAM teat to a lansinoh teat and also put the little handles on so she can hold it (little miss independent 🙄🤣) and now she takes one pretty much without a fuss! She only gets if I’m away at an appointment or something. It also has to be warm (as hot as possible without it being too hot!) or she won’t drink it x
