11 weeks old … screaming reduced significantly

Hi all,
Has anyone else had it from 11 weeks their baby has just stopped crying half as much?
I don’t know what has changed if there is a developmental leap or if she had colic now but seems like a different baby!

Mines 9 weeks and I feel like he constantly screams so I'm hoping he becomes like yours 🙈

My LB screams non stop since having his 8 week jabs a week ago. Doesn't seem to het better no matter what I do. I do hope he settles at week 11 as he is 9 weeks now

My LO was the same too from 11 weeks! Although we started her on colief drops about the same time too. She still has the odd crying episodes but not half as much phew! They say their digestive system begins to develop better from around this time x

@Leah I changed from mam bottles to Dr brown bottles. About a week ago, but he wouldn't latch to the teat so using the mam teat on the Dr brown bottle so getting a lot less bubbles in his milk and burping easier. But still having non stop screaming i have ordered colief today so will try that tomorrow. Just hate seeing him like this. And not being able to hel0 and I'm one tired mummy from no sleep haha

Yeah my little boy started being a bit more settled around 11/12 weeks

I swear by gripe water. I tried it in his bottles but didn’t see much improvement, now after a bottle I’ll let him try and settle but if after half an hour or so he’s still unsettled and has burped, I’ll give him around 2ml via a syringe slowly and with a bit of a cuddle he seems to settle. I don’t use anything other than that just as and when needed

@Natasha oo I will have to give that a go if these don't work. Always been a bit scared to try gripe water

I was the same at first but honestly it’s been a game changer for us. It’s got a strange smell because of the mint and the herbs but my little boy loves taking it so we don’t have any trouble getting it into him. But I see a difference quickly after. He suffers with reflux bad so has carobel in his milk to thicken it. Gripe water helps as an antacid but also helps with settling his tummy especially if he has trapped wind

thanks natasha, I will give it a go. Will take it slow and a little like you said and see. As I have a bottle here just sitting there waiting lol

I was reading somewhere recently that babies cry most in the first few months and hit their peak crying around the 12 week mark, so maybe your baby has reached their peak and is past the other side 😊 it does give me hope as my baby enters her 10th week that she will stop the fussy crying soon!

When did you circumcise your baby?
If you DID NOT or DO NOT have a circumcised son DO NOT comment this post is not for you!

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?
Again respectfully, this is only for the parents who choose to do so.
opinions about how not necessary it is will not be appropriate for this post. Thank you in advance. 🩵

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

When does it get better?

I was crying on the phone with the perinatal mental health team today and the lovely lady, bless her, kept assuring me that it gets better. I kept telling her I hope so because people have been saying that since having my LO and it just feels like it keeps getting worse. She assured me it gets better....

Crawling

Did anyone’s little one start crawling yet? I feel like we are falling behind but really have no idea. I’m trying to introduce more floor time but it’s been rough because of having hardwood floors and our 80 lb oblivious to life dog. I got us a carpet for the living room and trying to put the dog out more when the weather allows. She sits like a pro and will roll to get the things she needs😅 but no real signs of crawling yet.

Silver cross pushchair

Has anybody had experience with the sliver cross cove or breeze? Me and my partner can’t make an agreement 😅 I like the cove but is it worth the extra money to the breeze?
