Tonies box

My little one is turning 1 in 2 weeks and we are thinking of buying him a tonies box for his birthday. What are everyone’s experiences and opinions on them? Im not sure if he will be interested by it or if it will get used and it is alot of money for something we are not sure on. If you recommend it what figures do you have that are well loved? Thank you in advance. ❤️

Our little boy is 2 and he loves it. Best money we spent. It’s dramatically cut down tv time during the day also! My little one loves Thomas the tank and Bobby the sea turtle x

Ezra just doesn’t sit still and Im not going to lie he does have quite abit of screentime and Im wanting to cut that down I just dont know if it will catch his attention xx

We went for the Yoto player instead and our girl has used it since she was 1. We love the kids radio, the daily quiz/podcast, the books and songbooks are cheaper and it’s also a nightlight/room thermometer/white noise machine etc. my nephew has the tonie and he’s lost half the figurines which is unfortunate. With the yoto you have an app so you can play them on the go without the cards or player. We have the travel one too which is super handy xx

completely get you! My little boy is the same, he’s constantly go go go but he loves sitting and playing and getting to chose which story to listen to! I just wish I could buy every character xx

We have one for our 5 month old (had it since he was 2 months and its out of his reach, we control it) but he loves it, especially ones with songs. Once they finish if we don't restart / put a new one on he will start to whine so he clearly listens to them and seems to enjoy them. Also had the sleepy sheep night light which is good and has long lullabys on it

My boy is almost 2. He got the Tonie box for this last Christmas. He likes it. I picked the Tonie over the Yoto as I feel the Tonie is more for toddlers, and the Yoto will be something I may look into when he gets older. My boy likes to listen to the Tonies, and he loves just playing with the figurines, too (they have a special basket they go in, so they stay together). His favorites right now are blues clues, blippie, a raccoon that plays songs, spot, and a paw patrol chase one.

Im not sure if he would be able to put the cards in and I think he would enjoy being able to put the figurines on the top x

I have seen the sleepy sheep night light and I think it would be fab for my little one as he has to listen to something to go to sleep x

I think I will do the same as I like the idea of a yoto but I think he would struggle to work it. Im going to look for the spot one as he loves the book x

Not cheap I agree, but we love it, my girl is only 9 months and got one for Christmas, for the moment we have a few bedtime stories that she loves, obviously doesn’t really understand the stories, most just find the voices relaxing lol, but she really looks at the box and listen it’s so cute.
Also have nursery rhymes and one where I put her favourite nursery rhymes from YouTube, you can even record yourself reading stories, singing or talking so he can hear your voice, I really love it ❤️

I think he will enjoy it the most for bedtime as he falls asleep to music every night. I love the idea of recording songs from youtube, he loves ms rachel and I cant find a ms Rachel one. How did you record them? Xx

from YouTube it’s not about recording, you download it from YouTube then you need to convert it into mp3 and upload it to the figuring through the app.
The recording is just about recording yourself, again through the app
If you go for bedtime stories, our favourite one is the little bear cub bed time story, it’s so cute

My friend got one for her baby’s 1st bday, my SIL got one for her 1.5 year old and I’ve just got one for my baby who’s about to be 1. Works great at nap time/bedtime. He loves winne the Pooh, Peter rabbit and gruffalo

I got my little boy a tonies for his birthday. The BEST thing we've bought him. He listens to it every day and he goes to bed with it on, too for his bedtime story (which he chooses). We started with iggle piggle, lion king and the gruffalo! Now he has tons 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣.

Bestie where are you?!

Hey I really need to make some friends being a mom is so lonely. Distance does not matter to me (I can’t see waves)

Love my husband. Love my kids. But…

I’m 32 weeks pregnant with twins. I take care of my 4 yo, 2 yo, and 1 yo. I barely have energy to stand anymore. I cuddle and watch movies with my kids all day at this point. My husband is less pushy in this pregnancy in wanting to be touched or love up on me. But I feel more like a tool these days more than ever. He gets frustrated (not to a crazy degree) but I can tell he huffs because he’s probably sexually frustrated from me not wanting to be touched on. (my boobs are super sensitive atm) I love having the babies part, but the pregnancy also now has me feeling like a baby making machine. And a tool with big boobs made for touches and my husbands pleasure. Ofc I love my husband and kids, but with my hormones all wack, it really doesn’t feel the same when you’re not turned on. It’s so hard for me to get turned on. I’m uncomfortable all the time in my own body. Babies moving in there all the time. My children cuddle me all day but get rowdy at the end of the day, so I end up getting touched out and I can get irritable when my husband tries to touch me affectionately. He doesn’t have the tact necessary for me right now, when I wish he wanted to go in for a normal comforting hug I’m let down more often than not, there is almost always a boob groping involved as well. I tried to just let him touch me last night so he could get it out of his system, but he could tell I felt tense. Wish my boobs weren’t such an uncomfortable place for me to be touched. Idk why I’m making this post. Probably just to vent. Wish men were equally as emotionally intelligent as women. Wish I didn’t feel like I still owe him something because he’s picking up a lot of the house load and yet I still need to ask him to do more before these twins arrive. He’s tired every day when he comes home, so he takes a shower sometimes works out, and helps get the kids to bed. So it’s a struggle getting him to help any further than that. Weekends are my only time to get to him. But it’s a struggle to find time on weekends too. I know if he wanted to he would. But there’s just no drive.

Quick rundown had my baby 3 months ago her dad was cheating on me all the way through pregnancy u til 2 months pp . I was depressed and sad along with pnd ! I allowed him to leave my house sleep about and come back I had no fight left in me I was broken emotionless didn’t want to be here . Fact forward to a few days after valentines day a male friend brought me flowers ex didn’t like it called me all the names ect but 4 days later begging me back I tried for our daughter but he’s put his hands on me twice in the month daily name calling body shaming
Then today we was out his friend rang him why we was in the car to say he has 2 girls for them to go link this was on loud speaker ! I lost my shit arguing we got home I seen red n went for him I then got the hammer & smashed his car windows . I know that was wrong but being goaded daily put down n body shamed made me hate him then I just seen red

Maternity leave Employment rights?

I have 6 weeks left of work and they have completely changed my job spec including my job title and all my responsibilities, they have done this ahead of advertising my maternity cover apparently to fit business needs which I am fine with but i explained as long as it doesn’t effect me before I go. They have now turned round and said they want me to do the training for it before I go and want me to sign a variation in contract asap. Are they allowed to do this? I thought you had the right to come back to the same job within 26 weeks and I haven’t even left yet and they’re changing it? I was going to see what the job was when I got back and go from there but now they’re wanting me to sign this change in contract before I go I don’t know what to do, do I have to sign it ?
