Does anyone find it difficult at this age in the house ( 17 months ) to keep their little one occupied, I feel he gets bored very easily so I just tent to take him out for walks etc.
Anyone have any suggests on what kept their little ones occupied that would be great. We are debating getting a little table and chairs so he can’t sit and colour/paint etc. He gets very bored of his toys/books quickly

i’m in the same boat😩 my little one is 15 months and get so bored! i take him
to the park and for walks but feel like he’s just not getting stimulated enough!

What do you mean with getting bored? He starts screaming/having tantrums? Or he gets restless? Or he is just really quiet?
I have a soon 18-month-old and we aslo tend to go outside a lot, but when that is not possible (and she doesn’t want to read a book or play by herself) I put some music on and we dance together, or I put some yoga mats on the floor and we just lie there reaching our feet or something, or we paint, play with clay, make our own sensory trays... we have a montessori activity book, so when I don't have ideas I pick one from there and we play....but honestly I am lucky as she can play by herself most of the times, even with just a piece of string... and in general we stay outside as much as possible

I dont think at this age they concentrate on one thing for very long, not necessarily bored. My girl has a bucket of wooden blocks she likes to tip out and put back in. She has plastic fruit and veg that she’ll ’cook’ with in her wee kitchen, pushing pram about. But I mostly take her outside, she loves just walking about exploring. Suits me now the weather is getting better or at least dry 😅

My little one loves helping with unloading the dishwasher/washing machine & helping me put laundry out. If I’m hoovering she’ll follow me around with the hoover attachments pretending she’s hoovering too. She’s got a little table and chairs that she eats her food on but also use it as an activity table for playdough, painting & colouring. And I’ve just bought a little slide and sand & water table for the garden when the weather starts getting nicer. She’s also got a balance bike which she’s obsessed with riding on 😂 and also music is a big hit!

My LO isn't walking yet but cruising and climbing, so I put his soft blocks out so he can climb about, and we build a castle and I'm the mommy monster (😂)
He flicks through books but if I sit down with him and point everything out and say words he concentrates and points too.
He has the ring stacker, shape sorters, lots of toy cars, a box full of all sorts of different toys for stacking, feeling, pressing. He has a basket full of fruit he sits there and pulls apart. Ball pool balls and mega blocks.
I recently put together a music box from vinted with a drum, shakers, zylaphone, tambourine, so we get that out for abit and make lots of noise.
He just goes around the room playing with everything quite quickly but I do a quick tidy up and rotate toys then he finds something else to play with.
We go for a walk with the dog once a day to get out and go to local stay and plays some days.
It is boringgg some days in the house, but he plays so independently now and can play with the brain toys himself!

We bought a little plastic goal and he is trying to get a ball in it for a little while.
He’s mostly playing in his playpen though as he started to take things off couch and table and then walk around with it 😄
