Anyone else absolutely hating this weaning business.
Baby has been EBF (because she hates formula not the bottle)
She'll eat yoghurt with some mashed fruit in it.
But toast, cereal, porridge...nope
Meals she will literally take two bites and say no thanks. 🫠
HV is involved because she's not gaining weight as a result because she's very very active on her feet 🙃

I hate weaning! 🙋🏻♀️ I feel like it’s such a huge responsibility to ensure your baby is introduced to lots of different foods and making sure things aren’t too salty etc and everything is balanced.
My boy seemed to be a good eater to begin with and would happily chow down on various meal purées but recently we’ve take a 180 and he’s turned fussy. I’ve been putting it down to teething but it’s still so disheartening seeing food you make go to waste and then worry they’re not eating enough!
Hopefully the HV can help you to figure out what’s going on and get your baby girl to put on some pounds!

Oh and to add to my stress my boy shouts/screeches at me when I give him something he doesn’t want which is always fun 😵💫

I hate weaning😂
I do feel like we’re getting somewhere now my LO will have porridge in the morning & then is open to trying most things but still doesn’t eat a whole lot. Weight is abit stagnant but that’s expected isn’t it really.
Holding out hope that something will just click at some point 😂
Yeah thats the thing she'll try everything hut woke actuat eat more than a small mouthful unless it's yoghurt or wotsits or babu snack type thing x

Also EBF here and we were also really disliking weaning for quite a long time.
By 8 months ish were doing 3 sit down food exposures a day to get him used to the idea of 3 meals. He often would barely eat anything.
After a while of doing this though, he seems to have turned a corner and is now doing really well and it’s become very enjoyable for all parties!
It also became more enjoyable when we stopped focusing on the guidance so much and focused more on offering him the widest variety possible of foods. Even if we had something high in salt but still healthy we would offer him just a teaspoon amount just for a taste exposure.
We also started adding cream to a lot of things as he was also very active so perhaps try that too xx
I have been trying to add cream but then she won't eat things she usually does eat 🫠 She knows irs not the same haha. Yeah we have always done this she tries everything we have
Just doesn't seem bothered by anything haha
