Tell me about your experience with inductions!
I have one scheduled but may cancel.
I’ve heard/read that it’s way worse than labor brought on naturally.
My ob didn’t make it seem all that bad.
I’d just like to be a bit more educated on it, hear some stories.
Smooth or not.

I had my first induction tjis passed on Monday. Unplanned. And it went well. You do have to mentally prepare how long the prep process takes. Mine was 12 hours, then once given pitocin, it was about 6 more hours.
I did get the epidural about halfway through the prep process, mostly due to my existing back issues. The positions and bed were causing flare-up. Contractions for me were manageable for those first 12 hours.
thank you! I appreciate you telling me your experience. Were you able to get any rest during that prep process? Or did you end up being in pain until you were able to get the epidural? Was this with your first baby? Sorry for all the questions, you of course don’t have to answer any.

My induction was 12 hrs long i lived everything about it wasn’t in pain at all

I was induced at 39 weeks with my first and had a great experience. My only complaint was how long it took (33 hours from start to delivery) 😅 but I was relaxed the whole time and had no issues. This time I am waiting until 40 weeks before getting induced. If I don’t go into labor naturally by 40 weeks, I have chosen to get induced and hopefully my body is closer to labor so the process won’t take as long.
