My partner and I have a wedding this month and are meant to be leaving our six month old baby for the day/night with his parents. However I am very anxious about this as they drink quite a bit (they’ve said one of them won’t drink when they have her) and they honestly just haven’t been around her enough for me to feel comfortable leaving her for nearly 12 hours.
My partner disagrees with me and is adamant we leave her with them (as opposed to my sister who has had her before and has her own one year old). Am I being difficult?

I wouldn’t! I’d leave the baby with your sister. It’s not worth it in my opinion. You’ll just spend the day worrying. If your sisters had her before id definitely do what your comfortable with x

Nope! You're not being unreasonable or difficult. If you're not comfortable leaving her with them then don't do it, you'll be worrying the whole time and I don't blame you. You need to trust the people you're leaving your baby with. I wouldn't leave my baby with someone who drinks a lot either, even if they say one of them is not going to. What happens if the one who has been drinking picks her up and falls? Not worth it in my opinion (my dad drunk a lot and there's no way I would've left my daughter with him. He used to fall all the time 🤦🏻♀️)

You probably won’t be able to relax fully if you’re not comfortable leaving them with in laws! I’m the same, I’d only leave my LO with my mum overnight as I just don’t fully trust anyone else yet tbh😂.
Defo do what you’re comfortable with!! Xx

You’re not being difficult. Go with your gut..it’s more important that baby is with someone familiar
