What do I do??? My baby refuses to take my frozen milk and I’m realizing I think it is because it has high lipase. How do I get around this??

Once I figured out the problem, I scalded mine before freezing and just made sure he got fresh milk that day too.
Unfortunately I couldn’t get him to drink the older stuff straight, but it was fine when I added it to smoothies when we got to that stage so we still used it up eventually

what do I do with the already frozen milk? I have about 1000 oz and I don’t want it to go to waste

I read if you mix it with some fresh milk it can help with the taste. You could also keep some for when weaning to add to food

will it make the food taste soapy too?

I’m not sure but worth a go

I tried mixing in fresh milk and adding alcohol free vanilla and my little guy wouldn’t take it, but when he got to about 9 months I started mixing it in (still frozen… he was fine with it if I didn’t heat it) to smoothies with whatever fruit and veggies we had on hand. I donated some, used it in baths and on cradle cap. I was determined to not waste it lol.

i’ve seen of moms sending their milk to be dehydrated through a company called “leche”! kinda spendy though i think. but i think it’s so sweet, they’ll turn it into powder that can either be pre portioned into little packages or in one tub like formula! :)

I mixed it with fresh breast milk, formula, and then cows milk after 12 months. I played around with the ratio until baby drank it. I had around 3000 ounces frozen and ended up using it all. Also, I noticed some frozen bags had a stronger taste. Newer frozen milk tasted smelled better.

I would mix mine with oatmeal cereal and it disguised the taste enough my baby would eat it. I also used it in baths
