the i-spin is £100 more at £250, is it worth paying the extra £100 for this one or is the basic joie spin 360 good enough. It’s such a huge price difference but I want it to be safe!

We have the joie 360. For over a year now and we’ve not had any issues with it definitely glad we got it x

It depends on your car I think. Modern cars are i-size, but older ones sometimes aren't the right size. Look up compatibility.
oh thank you I didn’t realise this!

iSize doesn't refer to the car at all only the car seats, it's about the limits (height and weight) of the seat and the testing, nothing to do with the car

it is to do with the footprint of the car seat. That's why modern cars are all required to be isize compatible

no iSize refers to the fact that the seats have a height limit as well as a weight limit when the old regulation R44 required weight limits only. Some iSize seats are isofix too, obviously you'd need isofix to be able to install them and older cars don't necessarily have isofix.
If the car seat fits the newer R129 regulations instead of the old R44, is this as good as isize, as in does this take into consideration height and weight? sorry it’s all confusing me a bit! I just want to know that although it’s not isize it’s still safe
so is isize really worth paying £100 more? 😅

No one can help you decide I'm afraid! The old seats are still safe, it's just old stock they need to sell before they're unable to sell any R44 seats at all when the new legislation takes over.
But, in order to decide if it's a good seat for your LO, what is their age and height and weight? Or what centile are they on?
The spin doesn't allow RF for very long if you have an average or above average size child. I would ask in a dedicated FB group if I were you
my baby is very small she’s just above 9th centile.
And the spin 360 isn’t R44 it’s R129 I thought, so it’s still new regulations. just want to know if it’s worth spending £100 more for isize

Ah so she'll get plenty of use out of it then that's good.
The spin 360 is R44, and the iSpin 360 is r129.
R129 and isize are the same thing, it's just the UK version of an EU law. So they're the same.
iSize includes side impact protection testing that R44 doesn't.

ahh okay thank you!
And sorry so many questions but so what is the difference with the gti then? says it’s r129 / isize but why is it so much cheaper than the ispin one

The GTI is iSize according to joie yes, but it's not very popular as the inserts are not that supportive and you're not likely to get a good fit under a year old.
okay i did wonder why it doesn’t seem to be very popular! okay thank you so much for your help
