KIT days

I’m using mine yeah full wage for the kit days you work

Is it like a normal working day? What do you actually do?

I found them worth it. I used all 10 to cover my managers absence so they were full working days for me. I worked them all from home. They pay you after you return to work so I had annual leave pay + 10 days which was so helpful on my return.

Sorry for the daft question! What actually are KIT dates? My manager said we were supposed to have them every other month and it’s just to check in basically? X

I don't know if each trust is different but I could only do mine Monday to Friday wasn't allowed to do them on the weekends!

they are used to keep in touch so your not out of loop so much on return. They can’t force you to use them either.

I did 6 hours and the pay was awful. When I worked it out it was literally £6.60 an hour because it only makes up what your down (i was on half pay +smp. By the time I took pension, tax and NI off it my 6 hours was worth something like £25

I plan to do mine during the unpaid part of my leave. If you do them whike still getting paid OMP or SMP, It will not be worth it
