So baby daddy moved out when I was about 2.5 months pregnant and I’m 22 weeks now. We started having a lot of relationship issues and began arguing a good amount and he decided to leave. Since then, I have not be able to give up trying to fight for him back, which he says is just pushing him further, and it’s destroying me. He said he doesn’t trust that things will get better and he doesn’t understand the hurt I feel with him leaving. He said he can’t focus on a relationship and he needs to focus on being a father now and there can’t be an “us” unless he can move past his “trauma” and trust that things will be good. I am struggling to not fight for us and to not remind him about what we can have and what I want with us. I go to therapy and I truly try, but I feel so empty without him. It got to the point where my anxiety and stress levels are through the roof. Have any of you been through kinda the same? Did he end up coming back around? How did you stop obsessing over the want and desire to have him back and build your family together? Any advice or help would be appreciated.

I don’t have much proper advice because I haven’t been in this situation but what I can say is that it’ll probably help you so much to just focus on the positive of at least he’s doing it to better himself to be around for your child and that in turn might help him come back to you ☺️ I know it’s easier said than done tho. It’s like telling someone with anxiety to just “calm down” 😅
